Came in on a Sunday after brunch across the street. Place was packed. But never once did I feel neglected or unnoticed by the bartender. He was in overdrive to create a really comfortable atmosphere, playing brilliant music, doing tarot readings, singing happy birthday to the patrons, and busting out the dog bowl teeming with beer for the bday person to drink out of. 10 out of 10 experience. One of the last real dive bars I’ve been to in a while. Where the place feels like a community to all who visit. Great drink specials all the time, with higher quality options if you want to spend a little extra on something more rare and refined. I came for good food and cheap drinks, but didn’t expect the service and atmosphere to be as great and unique as it was. We came there to cap off nearly every night, while on a trip. Not a place I will soon forget. God Bless

Love Dives = A for the Villager I love the Villager. It's an old-fashioned neighborhood bar where you'll meet everyone from local shopkeepers to Vanderbilt University students. The beer is cheap and the company is good and I imagine it looks exactly like it did 50 years ago. Thanks
