Good food! good service! Very good management! What more can you ask for? The atmosphere is just beautiful there and you get a welcome feeling there every time yiu visit . Most of the time they have entertainment inside in winter and outside in summer and the singers are amazing it's relaxing to eat have a few cold drinks and listen to the singers .

It's no accident that we were back to Fox & Hounds again. Newport is a regular overnight stop on our trek from Chicago to Charlotte and we never miss the local color that F&H's provides. Ashley took great care of us in the crowded tavern side. We both had the prime rib sandwich, medium rare. Plenty of food. My choice of sides were some excellent onion rings and my brides choice was a side salad. We washed it down with some ice cold beer! We'll be back!

This was the worst restaurant meal I have had in years. The French Onion soup is beef bouillon with a slice of onion and a slice of bread and cheese floating in it. Served lukewarm. My partner had room temperature ribs, and inedible creamed spinach. The baked potato was ok-you really can't mess that up. It's not at all one of those hidden gems.

Way over priced for less than average food. Portions are small and food quality is equal to a roadside diner but not quite as good and twice the price. Actually I've been to diners that are way better. If you pull in the parking lot and see more than 4 cars plan on waiting at least 45 mins for your meal. I dont know if they are cooking with an easy bake oven or what, but Ive been to this place enough to know if there's more than three tables the kitchen goes into the weeds and cant seem to roll out food. I just cant get myself to go there anymore. When thinking of where to go eat i have to admit it comes to mind because its nearby, but then i just say to myself nope. Not worth the time or money.

Look I have tried this place to many times that keep stumbling on their own feet. the newly remodeled bar has ceiling fans blowing your food cold enjoy that idea that is tried no where? Two new mini splits don't do job ? Cooler sounds like a busted chain saw , turn on the music do something bra. Chicken wings would have been good but they got cool quick all that fan action at bar.

Absolutely a jewel in plain clothing. This gem was an absolutely fantastic place for dinner. The Bacon wrapped Filet was cooked to perfection & all of the sides were perfect. The food here is better than some of the 5 star restaurants in our hometown in NC. We were staying at the KOA RV park for the night, so this was a huge gift to find this hidden gem. The service was amazing too ! What more could you want ?

Waitresses... Tye your hair up before you clock in NOONE CARES ABOUT YOUR CURLING IRON. ORDERS for pick ummm. .like you DONT see me there? Offering to pay before seating ppl who arrived 19 minutes after me waiting to pay for a pick up. Only to be sent to the end of the the bar with another female tying her hair up, young man Happy about getting a large shirt !????? Y'all have no home training and shitty service
