Stopped in here for late lunch. Had never eaten here before.Ordered the chicken fingers that comes with fries and coleslaw. Everything tasted delicious. The coleslaw is made in house and its very tasty. The chicken was lightly breaded which is wonderful. The fries had extra good flavor. Will definitely eat here again soon.

It's rare I give perfect starts out. The fish at at this place was the best I have had in tn! Service was perfect and place is so cute. We will be back.Kid-friendliness: They turned cartoons on my daughter, helped her order and treated her better than any company I have seen. She is 8 and felt like a grown-up up here. She loved it.

Let’s start with the atmosphere: great quaint place, lights are very dim. This is a touch off putting cause it looks like the lights are off from outside. Perhaps some brighter lighting!I love the fireplace in the corners. So cozy. The service: we were promptly greeted and sat ourselves. She took our drink order, and we got our food within 10-ish minutes. She did not come back to check on us or refill our drinks and for the first time in my life, I actually finished my drink and wanted more. Their sweet tea is really good! I understand she was busy running to go orders out and seating others (she was the only server there)The food: I got the coalfield platter, it comes with shrimp, fries, coleslaw, and a generous piece of fish. To my surprise, the shrimp was amazing (a tad too salty) the shrimp is big and cooked well. The fish is great, very soft and yummy (again, a touch too salty)My husband got a burger and it came with 2 patties. This burger was HUGE, he was impressed. The pros: good food, friendly staff, a local eatery. The cons: they don’t have high chairs :(

I have eaten here several times now. Fried fish dinner is delicious and the burgers are literally the best I have had anywhere. The burgers are legit and I have had burgers in a lot of places. What a great find. The Mountain Burger especially. Try it.

Although we enjoyed most of the food we ordered, the atmosphere, and the servers, there were a few issues. I had to order three times to find something that was not out of stock on the menu, while my husband hit the jackpot first try. I had the fried pork chop with fries and green beans. It was maybe a good thing they were out of my prior choices as this plate was delicious.I realize that the owner and staff are working diligently to get the diner back up to its former status. While they're maybe not quite there yet, it is definitely worth a try whether it's your first time or first time in a long time.Keep cooking y'all! Don't give up! We'll be back!Parking: Given its location in a predominately residential area, there are very limited parking spaces to the business. They do offer handicapped spaces.Kid-friendliness: The dining room is large and spacious. There are men and women restroom facilities accessible from the dining room. The atmosphere was quiet the evening we dined here, but it would be absolutely kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: They do have wheelchair accessible parking and are ADA compliant on the main dining floor.

Definitely stop here!Fresh homemade flavor, not frozen box fried items. Best coleslaw I can remember having! Will agree with another that the fish batter was a bit too salty for my taste, but I had no issues polishing it off.Great service and prices today.Thank you! This is a hidden gem!

We've been here twice. He had Philly cheesesteak both times, loves it. I had the fish our first visit, Philly cheese steak this time, the fish was saturated in oil, but was good. The sandwiches also greasy, but great. They need to let it drain a Lil bit before putting it on the bread. But the food is super, super hot. You have to wait a good 6-8 minutes before you even bite into it. Was a Lil warm in there today, had a TV going in dining room and they were rocking out to Adele in the kitchen. Kind of Odd..who rocks out to Adele?? Only sweet tea or water to drink and tea was super super sweet. My son loved it, I gagged. Fried pickles are off the chain there, but they had none.

Food was served piping hot, portions were good sized. We both had fish with French fries. Only complaint was the breading was a bit too salty for my liking. The service was friendly and attentive, good family restaurant.
