We ate at the China Rose this evening for supper for the first time. The decor was very faded and run down and the place didn't seem all that clean. The food was OK I ordered the general chicken with a soft drink and my fiancé ordered shrimp fried rice with water and we shared a 12pc crab ragoon and it was a little over $30 which I though was a little high given the style of resturant, small portion sizes and the overall atmosphere.Parking: It's in a strip center with a large parking lot.

The taste was amazing, but the chicken was chewy and stringy. Styrofoam is a horrible choice for heavy wet foods. It spilled out of the container and liquids spilled onto my seat.

It’s been a while since I last ordered from here and I can definitely tell that they fell off. I’m just being honest. I had the boneless spare ribs and they were better before. The crab Rangoon was very crispy and kind of hard to eat. The girl who answers the phone just sounds like she is always having a bad day. I’ll probably not order from here again. That’s just me, but do whatever floats your boat.
I eat here about 3-4 times a month. Everything is good and consistent. Fulins is good but not better and much pricier. Panda Express just isnt good and its about the same price. I usually get the Gen Tso or the Bourbon chicken - both excellent. I almost always get the egg roll but the egg drop soup is pretty good also. Enjoy!

If you are looking for delicious, authentic Chinese food, I HIGHLY recommend China Rose! Their sesame chicken is some of the best I've ever had! There is no better Asian food in Ooltewah than this place, they are a hidden gem.
