I don't get the hype. The entire process was like waiting for an amusement park ride. walk up the huge ramp to put your name on the list walk down wait an hour. Your name gets called walk all the way back up then go wait at the bottom of the stairs and make your way to the top then you are shuttled to your table instantly what to drink what to order. Its basically mass seating food coming out for you and everyone around you . It is for sure an efficient process they have but it feels like you are on a conveyer belt. I also wasn't overly impressed with the meal

I recently ate at the Old Mill with friends and my husband. There were six of us. Our was excellent. I am allergic to corn and she was very accommodating to allow me to substitute another side for the corn chowder. The six of us each orderd different menu items. All were excellent. Servings were large enough we had leftovers for supper. I highly recommend the Old Mill restaurant.

What a find!! A must visit if you are in pigeon forge. We went for a late lunch and only waited around 15-20 mins for a table at 3pm. I had the Turkey with dressing which was delicious and a great portion of Turkey. My husband had the chicken strips with honey mustard dressing. However the fritters and butter steal the show!! Wow I wish I could eat them again now. Please visit on your next trip to pigeon forge or Gatlinburg.

Visited here for dinner one evening, it was quite late, but the restaurant was still busy. There is ample free parking out front, and we were promptly seated in the old and authentic feel restaurant. Our server was efficient and extremely friendly and helped us to choose from the menu. We opted for Chicken Pot Pie and Homemade Meatloaf, but sadly they were out of Meatloaf. We instead opted for the Catfish dinner. The table bread with whipped butter was so good, we requested more! Both dinners arrived with the sharing sides of Mash Potatoes and Green Beans. Both dishes were a good example of Southern Homestyle cooking, neither were incredible or amazing, but both were simply nice and homely. We enjoyed both and finished by taking home a slice of Pecan Pie and Chocolate Cake which we’re both delicious, although the Chocolate Cake was definitely the winner! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit, the pricing was very good and if you are looking to try Southern style home cooking, then this is a very good example.

We always go to The Old Mill when visiting Pigeon Forge. We went at lunch time and shared our meal like we usually do, it was plenty. The Apple Fritters are great as well.

This was mine and my husband's first time visiting this restaurant. I ordered the grilled boneless chicken breast with rice. My husband ordered southern fried catfish with slaw and hushpuppies. Both meals were also served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Before our meal was brought out, we were served hushpuppies and a cup of corn chowder. I enjoyed my food and had plenty to take home for later. The only thing I disliked was the rice was kind of dry. My husband said he wasn't satisfied with the seasoning of his hushpuppies or catfish. We will visit again when in the area but order something different.

The food here is some of the best I've had. You had better be prepared to wait, as it is a very popular spot. I would say 1-2 hours.

Definitely need to check this place out. Yes, there’s a huge wait but once you’re on the list you can walk around and check out other shops and stores or even tour the old mill while you wait. There’s a nice country store to grab a few goodies or just relax and listen to the water. Once your at your table the food comes fast….and there’s A LOT. Soup, salad, corn fritters and rolls, main course , bottomless drinks and dessert all for a reasonable price. Food was VERY good for country cooking. Think “upscale” Cracker Barrel.

Delicious food and good service. We ordered one plate to share and it was more than two of us could finish. Coffee was really good.

One hour wait was worth it. Dinner comes with delicious corn fritters, salad, soup, entree and dessert included in price. Chicken pot pie was delicious. Very attentive service even though restaurant was packed.

If you love good, this is the place. Just expect a wait. Tip: same food, slightly smaller portions, just be seated before 4. Save a lot of money!

Absolutely worth the wait- great food, awesome service and fun atmosphere. Don’t the line outside fool you- they get you in quickly without rushing you to leave!
