“THE BEST restaurant in the area. Not maybe! IS.This is REAL home cooked Southern food, no other restaurant has that around here. Not even Deans.Ive gotten takeout there twice, no indigestion afterward. I usually get a little upset stomach from food from other places. The place is spotlessly clean.Claxton TN near the Steam Plant.Wheelchair accessibility: low entrance“
“I am putting 5 starts because I love buddy's and all it stands for in our community. That being said...my wife is a fan of chocolate fudge cake....me too. The problem is, in the last four trys, she has need horribly disappointed. In Lenoir city the cake was so hard she could not cut it or bite it. Round 2, same in LC tried again and got the corner or something of the cake so about half of it was soft enough to eat. Then in Farragut the cake was old tasting then last night again with the cake tasted stale. Love you Buddy's but we are going to have to fix this because if she isn't happy, we don't go there. Please because I have to have everything else...“
“Excellent place to taste some very good smoked pork ribs and a good portion of brisket. Delicious and soft, it melts in the mouth accompanied by a tasty and slightly spicy barbecue sauce. excellent service and warm place, you eat in tranquility. 100% recommended, A place to return.Excellent place to taste some very good smoked pork ribs and a good portion of brisket. “Everything was extremely clean and nice. We went an hour before closing, and it was almost empty. The food was decent for the price, so I was unsure why there weren't a lot of people still present. The waitress we had was exceptionally nice. My only concern is that I got the teriyaki chicken with Mac and cheese. The Mac was pretty bland. The chicken was moist and flavored well with the sauce, though. My husband received the burger and fries, and it looked amazing. Normally, he throws his left overs away, and this was a time he actually ate them a few hours later. I'm still confused as to why there weren't a lot of people there.“
“Our waitress was Sherry and she was the best. Definitely will be back here. This was also Sherry's first day on the floor. I went back in to talk with the manager and let them know how well she did. She's very kind hearted. I hope when I go back this weekend she will be my waitress again...Thank you SherryParking: Parking was great at this time of day. I know it can get crowded but I've always been able to park up front.Kid-friendliness: Most certainly kid friendly...Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility.“
“We love eating at Calhoun 's. I especially like their Oriental chicken salad and of course, their ribs! Their roasted half BBQ chicken is another one of our favorites.Wheelchair accessibility: It is all on the ground floor. They have handicap parking available.“
“Wow! I just ate here for the first time. It definitely won't be my last. I admit that I am a BBQ snob, believing that if the meat is moist and flavorful enough, it shouldn't need to be soaked in sauce. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich on brioche. It was amazing. I added Cole slaw and didn't need sauce at all. The service is top notch and the space is fun and inviting.“
“Well worth the visit. Had the sampler and upgraded to a half rack over a ¼ rack. Split it and each had plenty. Ribs were tender, pork was a little dry but the sandwich was stuffed and the sauce at the table in thick and thin handled the situation. Brisket was great. Went basic with the sides but they have all the southern options. Mac and cheese was killer. A great cheese blend. Potato salad and cole slaw were both good but I didn't pick up anything unique or special, but they did appear to be made in house so props for that. Cool atmosphere just on the edge of the gentrified downtown. I would return. The whole package is well done and well cooked.“
“My name is Tiger, and you better believe i live on a diet of just meat. Anywhere I go I order bbq, steak, brisket, lamb, or seafood. But it's so expensive.... I stopped here for lunch one day on a whim, and man. I can't stop coming back, their pulled pork and brisket is top quality, but costs less less than McDonald's, depending on how you order of course. I recommend the pulled pork for the best bang for your buck, but it's hard to resist the brisket. Definitely a stand out place for me“
“Food and service were excellent, or server Chelsea was amazing. I loved it because she was so friendly and actually sat down to talk with us (we are visiting from South Dakota) she filled us in on great menu items, and we were definitely happy with our or choices, will definitely be going back again.“
“This was excellent! I didn’t even take a picture of my pulled pork dinner plate because I ate it so fast. Collard greens are a dream. Cornbread is moist. This BBQ is better than any of the bigger names in Knoxville. Had the Duke and NC game on in the dining room. Will be back!“
“Wonderful venue! They have done some upgrades since other photos that are posted on here.. Food is delicious! Highly recommend the honey pecan chicken or the tenderloin! Service is great--Debbie almost doubles as your own private event planner with details on their end, it makes for a much more personal experience. Definitely consider this place for your next event!“
“This review is specific to a curbside order but I’ve eaten in three times and it’s always great. Their house salad is GENEROUS, great sweet potato fries, huge scoop of pulled pork on the slider, and my kid LOVES the okra. There’s not one thing I can complain about, except that the banana pudding is sold out too often. 10/10 would recommend.Vegetarian options: You could easily make the salad vegetarian with no bacon.Kid-friendliness: It’s a chill atmosphere that always feels good for kids to join!“
“I've been here a few times in the food was great we'll this last time we came everything came out looked great I was so hungry didn't take a picture. But make short my sweet potato was great on point but chicken tender rolled in salt. The manger there was very nice about it and she tasted a shrimp that was the same way. She asked if I wanted anything else. But I didn't so she just refund for the tender.“
“The food is usually really good every once in a while they slack but it usually is pretty good. The best server we have had there was Katie. She was very nice and attentive to us. The bone in ribeye is the bestParking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Kid menuWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of parking and ramps“
“Great place, and the food was delicious. Was a little disappointed that they made our party (11) wait for such a long time and then still not sit us together... not really understanding why? The server was amazing and made things better! Thanks to Summer!!! Otherwise, I would have rated it a lot lower!“
