We do the Gatlinburg Wine Trail every time we come to the Smoky’s. This year we met Eliza. She’s very friendly and tells you anything you need to know about any of the tastings. Last year we purchased the mead. Do NOT miss coming here when you’re in town. You’ll regret it.

Five stars!Took the great recommendation of a local to go to BOTH Cades Cove Cellars locations. Great flavors, variety and staff. Each location has unique products and flavors. They use local grapes and flavors with great names that highlight what’s special about this region. Some TN wines are sorely sweet. These were not! Well done. They even have great dry flavors.Eliza was very helpful at the Wears Valley location. I didn’t catch the names of the two ladies who helped us in Townsend but they both were very personable too.We really enjoyed all of our tastings and purchased some Christmas gifts too!You can even get a free glass if you complete the wine tour stamps.

The storefront was attractive and had plenty of items to look at and browse through. The inside of the store was clean and inviting. We sampled the wine at the taste testing bar and bought two bottles. We opened a bottle that evening when we returned to our cabin. It was a Red table wine called Fall Bounty and we paid $22 for the bottle. Oddly the wine from the bottle we purchased did not taste the same as what we were given in the tasting room. We let it breathe and it still did not improve. The wine lacked complexity and finished harshly with an aftertaste we could not place. It really wasn't enjoyable. Probably the worst wine I have ever tasted. We will not return. We are unable to figure out why the same wine sampled at the tasting was so different than the one we bought.

This was our second winery stop after a short hike on the laurel falls trail. Our group had two different tasters. Ours was very pleasant, describing the wines and our tasting choices. We enjoyed the mead wine to take home. They had some cute plastic wine glasses with the bear logo with a wine glass for a nose. Perfect for us since our 10 person airbnb only had 2 wine glasses. The second taster for the other half of my group acted put off that we had stopped at another winery prior. Perhaps don't answer in the affirmative if you are asked "have you been to other wineries today"

I was looking for a sweet wine like Moscato. Their "firefly" is nice and sweet!

Each time we have visited we have been greeted and offered great service. Their wine tastings are solid with good variety. I enjoy their wine and they have other goodies too. Enjoy their "redneck Waterford " for tastings or drink your win on the porch.
