Depends on what time you go if the food is fresh and hot or not.. This building has not been updated in over 30 years. There are some good food options but again, only if it's fresh. The dumplings are my favorite item. I do not recommend going on a date night here lol. Often the tables are still sticky. It's cheap, plenty to eat but also set up like an old diner that's found open at 3am.

My wife's new favorite buffet. We stopped in for lunch while passing through Shelbyville. They had just opened for the day when we arrived so everything was clean, fresh, and stocked. The staff weren't overly attentive or welcoming but all seemed busy working on seating and drinks. Food was great and our drinks never emptied.
Unfortunately our favorite local place closed so we now go to New Century. It's not the best but certainly not the worst. It's fine... there's nothing that really stands out. Well, there is a large selection of seafood items which I can appreciate. Service is fine, they clear dishes promptly, but like most Chinese places, they pack everyone into one area with the rest of the place empty. I don't want to be practically elbow to elbow with other patrons when there is plenty of room to spread us out a little. I hope this doesn't sound too negative, it's a perfectly fine place with a good buffet selection, comparable prices and adequate service from kind staff.

My family has visited this place on multiple occasions and never any problems. We have ordered to go several times. Tonight I tried to place a to go order and was told no to busy with the buffet. I've always tipped extremely well even on to go orders. I'll never go again. Don't advertise to go orders with a to go menu if you're to busy still with a regular customer. Sad. This was my favorite Chinese place
