I was on site for six hours. Between the tour (Terrell is the Best Tour guide ever) the staff, the HB restaurant, the grounds (looks like the grass was cut with scissors/ so precise) the facilities (looked and smelled amazing) and the tasting was mind blowing) I am a changed woman.I have been on the Bourbon Tour in Kentucky and they don’t hold a candle to this experience.Like any religious experience we will start in the SpeakEasy.Peace and Blessings,Mecca

Anyone who loves whiskey and has any interest in Tennessee whiskey needs to see this up and coming distillery.Unknown to me until this trip to the Jack Daniel's distillery that there was a man behind the scenes "Uncle Nearest" who took young Jack Daniel under his wing and taught him the art of distilling whiskey into what we know today...The Green family has deep roots it seems with the Daniel family its an awesome story.I highly recommend taking both tours and seeing how these two so many years ago started and continue on.

I really wanted to like my experience, yet something really odd happened. I ordered a smash burger and fries. Mine was the size of a whopper junior without all the fixing. The odd part was that all night long I watched order after order delivered to others that had the smash burger and it was double the size…even the bun was different than the one I was given. I chose not to complain, tipped my normal 20% and honestly left feeling hurt. Might sound dramatic, but when I pay $17 for a burger and fries, my expectations are elevated. I’ll also add, mine and my husbands order arrived after two other couples around us got theirs, even though they ordered after us. I just can’t figure out why that happened. So strange. ~ On a positive note….all the other smash burgers I watched go by looked delicious! ??‍♀️

Such history! All of the tour staff was wonderful, Terrell took us on a fantastic journey on the grounds, so kind and knowledgeable, can’t wait to hang with him in Cognac!

We came St Patrick’s day weekend for a tour & tasting for my husband’s birthday and had a great time. All the staff we interacted with were engaging and had awesome energy ?The history of Nearest Green is fascinating. I’m glad we took the tour to learn about his journey.I don’t think a lot of people know he is the one who showed Jack Daniel’s how to be a distiller.Highly recommend!

This tour was part of our visit to Nashville. Shelbyville is not that far of a drive. I'm telling you, put this visit on your itinerary! The staff is great. The whole distillery is pristine. The tasting was fun and the massive bar is a sight to behold. Terrell, not sure if I spelled correctly, was really great. His passion for his work is evident. He displayed a down to earth, calm demeanor. I'm glad my husband and I had him for a tour guide. He was knowledgeable and interacted well with everyone. Two things I didn't like though is that it took too long for us to be served at the bar, the wait was ridiculous and it wasn't even busy. Once we finally did get served, the service was good. Lastly, we expected to get more history about Uncle Nearest and we were disappointed that he wasn't celebrated more. I heard the restaurant here is good but we didn't get to try. Overall, the experience was great and I'm proud that this black man is being honored and also proud that this black owned!

Just completed the distillery tour, I been on distillery tours from Oregon to Maine down to S. Carolina ,this is the first without a distillery. Yes the actual distillery hasn't been completed. The Price is high just to do a small tasting of 5 liquors that someone else makes for them. Now that being said the four TN/bourbon whiskeys were tasty but I found the Rye very interesting and a cut above. The guide said it was 100 percent rye and I was surprised. When they actual open the distillery I would be interested in another tour until then stay away

The tour is down to earth and you learn a lot of history. Also stop in you eat and you will be full when you leave

Sunday brunch here is delicious! Bar space is huge but not enough area for table dine in. Bar tops always open. Uncle nearest has two separate restaurants. Barrel house for self ordering to go or dining. More like a meat and 3 orders. Restaurant bar dine in for brunch or drinks only. Very nice open area. So many choices for alcohol if you're not a gin or whiskey person. Nice place to check out. Kinda kid friendly restaurants food wise. I didn't do any tours but that's always available also during business hours.
