Yall!!!!!!! I had the shrimp and grits with a side of fried cabbage. It was delicious!!! Grits very creamy yet thick. Shrimp cooked perfectly with andouille sausage that had the perfect spice to it. The sauce on top was seasoned perfectly. Cabbage fried perfectly and had a bit of sweetness which was different but trust me a good different!! Service was great. Severs were very attentive. Nice and clean for an antique looking place. I will be back to try something different but I hope they know I’m going to wear them out over this shrimp and grits.

I can't rave enough about the overall awesome experience at Emmy's Urban Plantation. The food is outstanding! If I could give more stars I would! I suggest the mushroom swiss burger! I honestly can say, everything I have ate there has been amazing. Real potatoes for the mash potatoes, hand cut fries. Great iced tea. You can't go wrong eating at Emmy's!Parking: Plenty of parking in the 2 lots behind the building.Kid-friendliness: There is no play area, but this is definitely not mickeyd's. The do have a good child menu!Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access

Great local small business that not only has great food but also gives back to the community. On Christmas Day they offer a free dinner to anyone that either can’t afford it or has no one to celebrate with. Support them as the surrounding area gets engulfed by huge corporate chains.

The pinto beans were not cooked completely and still hard, mashed potatoes were cold, and french fries were soggy. I ordered fried chicken and got chicken tenders. Not a good lunch experience.

Well heck! I have forgotten the name of our very sweet server. Sandy maybe? Pretty blue eyes. Anyway! My husband and I ate here over 5 years ago and we must have come on a bad day. It wasn't memorable. We never returned. So yesterday, I decided to try again. I noticed the name had changed out front to "Emmies" and I assumed new owners. After chatting with our server, she explained that only the name had changed. So we ordered lunch with fingers crossed. It was EXCELLENT. We both had the meatloaf, which was so, so good. Really moist. Nice glaze. Our veggies varied. We had cabbage, tomato & cucumber salad, mashed potatoes and pinto beans. All four veggies were really delicious. Everything was definitely homemade. Even a few peels in the potatoes :) We ended this adventure with a brownie & ice cream, served warm with toasted nuts. Yum!! Left stuffed!! In the south, sweet tea is a staple wherever you go, but not everyone gets it right. You know? Their sweet tea is 1960s country tea, just like your mom or grandmother used to make. Absolutely delicious meal. We felt appreciated by the staff. So glad we stopped in :) We'll be back!!

Quaint place that was a random find on the way through town. You sit in a living room type room and get served by the nicest locals. The food is plentiful and flavorful! Lots of different options but all very tasty. Prices are good to feed a family.

A cozy surprise! We chose this place on a whim after church and enjoyed it! I got a wedge salad, which was crisp and good. The breakfast sandwiches were perfect. The fries were tasty. No complaints!
