My husband and I ate here tonight for the first time and everything was really good! I got the pecan crusted catfish with a salad and loaded baked potato, my husband got the lasagna with their potato soup. We were very pleased. The salad was super fresh and the pecan crust was delicious!! And they give you a large portion of the lasagna- which I tried and it was awesome! The food was 5 star! We came back twice during our visit from Chicago. The chicken parmesan was hands down the BEST we ever had! We told the owner as well! They deserve to know how good the meal was. Our waiter was extremely nice, attentive, knowledgeable of menu and offered suggestions. He also took the time to give us some suggestions of hiking/fishing places to see during our visit. I thought the food was fresh and very good. As far as charging different for paying with cash vs credit card. Most restaurants do this. Maybe not your local diner, but it's been that way the past couple of years. It's not some trick, js. I will definitely go back. It's a nice change for Smithville besides diners, buffets and fast food.
