The place is showing its age, feeling and looking a bit run down the past few years, but the food is still really good. Worth going for. They don't put much effort into making you feel welcome when you first arrive, but the table service did end up being very good.

Ordered the La tavola specialty. Website said it comes with shrimp chicken and beef. There was sausage which I assumed was their ‘beef’. I called 10 minutes before they close to ask but no answer. I didn’t eat it since I wasn’t sure if it was beef or pork sausage as the website doesn’t specify if it’s beef sausage. The chicken was overcooked and dry as can be (also didn’t eat). The shrimp was okay and the pasta itself was okay. Side salad and breadsticks I also could’ve done without. The whole meal was lacking salt and was cold by the time I got home(10mins). Wouldn’t go back. Salvos is much better.

We ordered takeout via Door Dash, around 7:30, and both pasta dishes we ordered were watery in sauce consistency and the chicken is hard and way overcooked. I couldn't even cut through it, it ripped in half. See the photo of the hard brown chicken, that was like that all the way through both pasta dishes. I understand if it's 1 hour until close, but my food could have been made fresh and that's a bummer because reviews were great. Dishes were recommended and popular on Door Dash. But it feels as if they didn't care to make a fresh dish for us, within the 1 hour closing window. Even though we were charged the same price as everyone else. It's saddening to say the least. Disappointed in the taste and quality control. Beware ordering later in the evening.

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, portion size is great. Price is right. Food is phenomenal!! Best Italian in the area. If you haven’t eaten here, you are missing out. Book a dinner with your family, or grab something to take home to them.

Love this place. From the salads to the giant pizzas with roasted garlic. The ravioli are a good go to.

We have been going to this location for the past 30 years. The food is so good we take all our out-of-town family there. They liked the food so much they request La Tavola on their return visits! The service is very attentive rounding out the entire experience! It is a very comfortable setting so just go and you will not be disappointed! L.Swaim

The food was excellent; very fresh and hot. The service was fabulous; quick, polite, and checked on is the appropriate amount of times. The restaurant was clean and the only reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5, is because it is very simple and casual. I wanted to be sure people knew it wasn't an upscale dining interior (but it's cute and clean, we were pleased). Also, there were a lot of take out orders picked up while we were there. Clearly, it's a popular place.

My husband and I ate here a few weeks ago. It was awful. The lasagna was the worst we've ever tasted. It was mushy and luke warm and had no taste. the meat was just mush. the dessert was frozen, it was tiramasu. you could tell they just had gotten a bulk order in from somewhere, def NOT made inhouse, and they just took the dessert out of the freezer, sliced it and put it on a plate. The wine my husband ordered had been opened a while. it tasted so old. No one working there understood wine and didn't understand that red wine goes bad after a day opened. The restaurant is not decorated at all. it has zero ambiance.the booth we sat in was ripped and sank when my husband sat in it. I wish we hadn't wasted our time and money.

Lunch with a friend in a quiet location! Ordered garlic bread, 8 large bread sticks that were wonderful! Caesar salad is still being made from iceberg lettuce rather than Romain but is good. Added salmon. Cooked just right with great flavor.

Downtown Smyrna at its finest. Possibly the best calzone in town, That's a tough call. It's a very competitive Pizza Town but my preferred choice.

Went to this restaurant with my wife and her parents to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary. I’ll start out with the positives of this experience, which can be summed up quickly by saying that the company at my table was excellent. We only had to ask for a high chair for my daughter four times, which I guess is technically better than five. The salad and breadsticks were okay that came with our meals, but my mother in law waited an additional 10 minutes after our salads came to receive hers. I ordered the veal piccata as my entree. The veal had the color, consistency, and flavor of what I imagine boot soles would taste like. The pasta it was served on had a very sour flavor and was overall quite unappetizing. None of the meals we were served around the table were anything approaching a correct temperature for a freshly made meal. I believe that we were served food that had lain under a warming lap for a considerable amount of time. On the plus side, I got home and was immediately able to lose a substantial amount of weight by sitting on my toilet. The only reason I went home to have this truly awe inspiring bathroom experience was that the restrooms did not have toilet paper or a changing table to get my daughter into a fresh diaper. This is by far the worst experience I have had in a restaurant, and I will never visit this establishment again.
