I have sensory issues around foods, but the staff here is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure my sub is perfect!I can't tell you how frustrating it can be to get food that immediately makes you nauseous because it's not made the way you asked. “Their cheesesteak is the best in town. Their fries are delicious BUT you can’t let them sit or they get soggy. Love the setup they have inside as well.My only drawback to the place is the closing at 4pm. Absolutely Horrible. I work thirds so I usually can never make that early a time to eat there. The cheesesteak is so delicious it makes it even worse that I can never get one into my chili hole.“

“Penn station has always been my favorite sandwich place. I had one back home in Bellevue that I used to go to with my family a lot, and I have a lot of memories there. When I moved out here for college and I found out there was one here too, it became my go to place to get a sandwich whenever I was having a really hard time or was feeling homesick. Thats been getting increasingly more often as I approach graduation this semester. The staff is always nice and smiling, and I always get the same sandwich (chicken cordon bleu, it’s the best, try it.) and they always do a fantastic job. Today was hard, and very emotional, and I really just missed my mom, so I wanted a Penn station sandwich and one of their cookies (again, the BEST cookies ever. Try it.) and I ordered through DoorDash just in time, at 8:29 before closing orders at 8:30. I work in the service industry, and I know restaurant etiquette, so I felt bad but I just really needed this today, but I also kind of expected the sandwich to be a bit lackluster because I know how hard it is to do your best work even at the end of a long day. But that sandwich was massive and delicious and exactly what I needed today. Y’all are the best.“

“Was waiting for my husband at the doctors office and decided to walk over to grab a bite to eat. I was greeted by the sweetest staff and had a fabulous Italian sub. Very generous meat helping and super fresh ingredients! Plus, this is the first place I’ve found with real flavored macaroni salad!!! If I were in Signal Mtn more, I would go here for lunch all the time. Absolutely wonderful experience!! :)“

“The food is good, but a bit pricey in my opinion. It was over $60 for 4 people to have basic sandwiches, fries and drinks. There is a nice sandwich topping bar to give your sandwhich an individualized flair. It is nice that you can add as much topping as you desire. The veggies on there are very fresh and well presented. This does offer a little reasoning to why it costs a little more. They also offer a basket that includes both fries and onion rings, which is unique.I tried the frings (fries and onion rings) basket and the grilled chicken pita. Both of them were very good.Overall, it was a good experience. We would eat there again if the opportunity presented itself.“

“Every McAlisters that I walk into in Chattanooga has fast and friendly service. I like this particular location because you can order ahead and pick it up at a pick up window. The quality of the food is always amazing. My husband and I get a pick 2 for lunch or light dinner and just split a 3rd one if we are REALLY hungry. Basically we each get a half of a BIG sandwich, a soup and a salad. Or sometimes he gets one of the spuds. Which is a decent sized potato packed with stuff. We eat here at least once a week, and it never gets old because they have such a big variety of items on that pick 2.“

“Hixson Pike location. Folks, this is better than store bought chicken salad. Barbie Q and the Sassy Scotty are my personal favorites. Macaroni and Cheese has the homemade crockpot flavor- a plus. The Grape Salad is divine. It's made from grapes, cream cheese, crushed pecan pieces and it's to die for.“

“Firehouse subs are a must if you are in town. Stopped by to get the sub. It was good, and the whole vibe was wonderful. It was pretty empty when we went there in the afternoon. They were selling pickle buckets, so my granny got 2 for $3 a piece.“
