I had the 2 PC fish dinner with hush puppies and a loaded baked potato. This was served with white beans and creamy coleslaw. The hush puppies were perfect. Light golden, crispy outside, tender inside with nice flavor. Beans were nicely seasoned and slaw was fresh with a nice crunch. The fish was very good - thoroughly cooked without being dry. Generous toppings on the potato. Be sure to ask for their chow chow relish. It's a treat!

Hostess was in house shoes. Went when times were slow. Prices are high. Fish was small. Very disappointing from previous experiences. Cashier rolled her eyes at me. Attitudes all around with young kids. However our waiter was respectful just not on top of things.

Though I don't go there often I must say I have enjoyed their southern style recipes as well as their catfish the times I have been.. I loved the beans and my companion likes the wet slaw. They are great for larger groups and I usually see some when I am there. We've had good service, even when it's obvious the waitstaff is super busy.

I got the whole catfish dinner with collard greens and a side of okra. I chose the vinegar coleslaw instead of the mayonnaise version and I didn't care for it. The beans and greens were both well seasoned and the hush puppies tasted great with them both. The fish was hot and not overly seasoned. Some may like a bit more seasoning on the batter but I enjoyed it. The okra wasn't fully cooked and had some inedible pieces of stem cooked on the batter. The customer service was stellar! From the hostess, to the waitress and busboy, everyone was very pleasant and hospitable. The restaurant was clean, had great parking, and easy to find! Overall it wasn't a bad experience.

Food was good, I thought it was a little pricey. Our waiter did a good job. The tables need to be refinished, the clear coat was coming off and it was sticky.

This was the first time to eat at The Catfish House. The food was a little pricy and the service wasn't up to par. We ordered the 3 pc Cajun Catfish dinner and I had asked the waitress if we wanted more that we could upgrade to all you could eat which was 30.99. By the time she ever came back I had eaten all my beans and slaw and had none left to go with more fish. So we didn't upgrade costing the restaurant 22.00 dollars more in sales. She also served my husband first! That's a no no in my book. I was a waitress for years and I was taught that you always served the ladies first. Will not go back. Fish was ok but not as good as we were used to at The Catfish Kitchen. This is about the second time I haven't left a tip. You earn your tips by giving good service. I'm not going to reward someone for bad service. They will continue to give bad service and won't learn a thing! Ladies first and come back to check on your customers more often. We sat there and kept waiting for her to come back so we could pay. We finally took the bill up ourselves.

Went for lunch on a weekday. Got there very early but the place filled up pretty quickly after we ordered. The server was very nice and helpful. We ordered catfish tenders at her recommendation because we wanted the Cajun spiced version, and she said because the tenders are smaller than fillets, they absorb more of the spices and cook up crispier. She was spot on. Delicious, crispy, moist, and spicy. Sides were hush puppies, beans, and fried okra, all delicious. As with most places in the south, breading on the fish is corn flour, so it's gluten free. Nautical theme, very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

It's not Top of the River, but it's not bad for a small town in Tennessee.Took a bit for someone to take our order. But, the waiter was professional and courteous.Food is not exceptional, but will do.

If you leave here hungry it's your own fault! Be careful with the fixin's or you will require a "to-go" plate for your entrée! Not only is the food very good, but the portions are plentiful. Great environment with a family-style environment for a change of pace in choices!
