“My husband and I travel quite a bit and love burgers. So when we moved to the area we wanted to try Hanks burgers. Hands down they have the best burgers any where! If you’re looking for a burger with grease and blood pouring out of it this is not for you go to five guys, but if you want a burger grilled to perfection Hank’s is the place. The staff even make it better.”

“It's always a great place to stop for a pastry and coffee, but it's so much more. You can observe the historical bakery, in the baking process, from a walkway above the kitchen, take afternoon tea in the tea room, or pick up their fabulous cinnamon rolls to go. They also carry an interesting assortment of antiques and gifts.It's always clean and the staff are wonderful. Can't wait to shop there again.”

“This restaurant is absolutely amazing! I did not have high expectations as from my experience, small town Mexican restaurants are usually mediocre, but this one was incredibly tasty and the prices were inexpensive!! Will return if ever in the area again!!”

“Very tasty chicken sandwich. My friend had a cheeseburger and said it was very good. Had a bit of a wait for the sandwich but girls were very nice taking our orders and checked on us several times.”

“We really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the counter serve people were cordial and friendly. The Margherita pizza was not very authentic, although they did try. It definitely had too much of a robust sauce, and the diced beef steak tomatoes were not doing the pizza. Any favors . As for the rest of the food it seemed to be well received. The one thing that we did find surprising was that no one really spoke to you after you received your order. I get that it’s a counter serve restaurant, but it is a mom and pop restaurant and hospitality should be added. I do recommend business and I definitely think it’s worth stopping and trying.”

“This was an accidental find on recommendation of a gas station attendant. A little ways into town so you need to search for it but worth it! Eclectic decorating and coffee cups but everyone was a delight. Staff and locals. Food was top notch. We will happily make a point of stopping here again.”

“My wife and I visited here on a weekday evening. She made reservations- I would highly recommend making reservations. We were seated upstairs- very cramped. Our waitress only came by once after delivering our initial drinks- that was when she brought the ticket.”

“I've always been a fan of the comfort of a waffle House. There is something about the familiarity of WH. This was the nicest friendliest waffle House I've ever been to. “This is our second time to Monteagle; having time for a sitdown dinner this time we were looking for something better than fast food. We ended up with lasagna and skillet lasagna; I had the greek salad and my husband had the caesar salad as our sides. As a former owner of a food establishment, it's rare to find a place that makes food that I feel matches my own or even tops what I can make. We both found our meals to be excellent. The price was very fair for the quantity of food we received and we found the server to be very attentive. It was a clean place and I could only eat about half of my meal. It's hard to keep left-overs when traveling but I"m certainly going to try and keep mine cold so I can have some more tomorrow. Great job!”

I love the fact that Pilot really does a great job of keeping their restrooms clean compared to many other stations out there on the road. And also love the convenience of everything else they have to offer from a snack, gear, supply standpoint”
