Today we took a day trip to Winchester Tn to a Branchwater Distillery. We met the family and learned the history behind the business. Their moonshine goes down so extremely smooth and their custom flavors are delicious! This is a must visit if your ever driving through Tennessee! Such a pleasant experience.

stayed in Lynchburg on a recent trip, visited Nashville, Tennessee. Made a detour trip to Keith Springs Mountain and revisited some old memories. Also went to Winchester… It’s been a long, long time.Walked around the Square randomly and found this distillery. absolutely amazing experience.If you are ever here, do not miss this place. The history, the architecture, the story behind everything… So worth the stop.I wish I had got the first name of the lady that was behind the counter. She was amazing. She imported not only the backstory on the distillery, but it wisdom hard to find these days.we had a friend from Poland that went with us, and he quoted something. The lady said often. It made a real impact on him. She was explaining how everything started and how her son had this vision of how things could be, and why most people might see it as an overwhelming thing in the beginning, basically she was explaining let’s just do it, just try it…So many times in life, we get bogged down of the details and we don’t ever launch. But the wisdom here is something in valuable. Just try it. Doesn’t matter if you fail… At least you tried. And there’s probably a 90% chance that you make it just like these people do. Amazing.Beautiful place, amazing to see the entire process, and they offer a very unique experience here that I haven’t seen in and other places. Instead of just getting the premixed moonshine, they offer the street moonshine with options for flavors. You can buy any flavor you want to mix with the moonshine. Amazing idea. Very unique! What an absolute gem. My friend and I are Bourbon enthusiasts, and touring the area to see and sample local distilleries. We stopped here on a lark, it was late in the day and we figured we may as well check out some moonshine.Absolutely delicious. I had no idea moonshine of such wonderful taste was possible. The people were incredible (than you Sheila), knowledgeable, and connected historically in a deep and meaningful way. And did I mention how impressed we were with the product? We left with more than we had picked up at any of the whiskey distilleries we had stopped at, and then came back by again 2 days later to pick up even more.I cannot recommend them enough.

I am so happy that downtown Winchester has gotten such an amazing place of business. It’s so amazing to see!We stopped in here on our way to the back porch. It was great and super clean. Such a fun place! My husband said the moonshine was the best he’s had and we do a lot of tastings in Gatlinburg! Pond Water and Devil’s Spit were his two favorites.The people were sooo nice! I cannot get over how amazing they were! We will definitely come back. I’ve already left with $70+ worth of product lol!

The hours posted on Google are different than what is posted at the distillery. I went by at 3:30 on a Saturday, both store hours and Google said they should be open. They had a sign that said “be back at 7:45”. They are supposed to close at 8? Would love to visit this place, but missed them on this visit.

Awesome place! If you are into moonshine, these guys will talk about it all day long with you. Tons and tons of flavors to sample, or just "straight up!" I really like their way of selling the pure moonshine, and letting you pick and add your own flavors. It is a small place, but they make a great product. Definitely a place to take relatives and family coming in from out of town.
