“I've eaten here a handful of times, and have waited to post this until I felt I hit an average with taste experiences here.I'll be honest, on my 1st trip here I was overwhelming pleased with the experience. The staff was beyond great, and the food was probably top 3 BBQ I've ever eaten. And I've eaten at places all over the world.I decided I needed to go back a few times to see if the experience was a one off thing or if that was going to be the norm there. So I did that, 5 different trips, on different days of the week and ordered different meals each time.I've had Burgers, brisket, sausage, cobbler, pork, ribs etc. I even had one meal with all of it on one plate ?People may think you need to go to Austin or the metroplex to get the best BBQ in Texas.Wrong.Simply put, The Shed is one of the premier restaurants in the game. You should travel and experience those other places rated high in the state, because they are very good. But, I guarantee that once you've done that...you will clearly see that The Shed is not only as good, but quite possibly has a slight edge on those other joints.Go here. Wait in line. Experience the food, the sitting area and the staff, it is what makes The Shed, in this fat guys opinion, a top tier restaurant in the state.“
“Came to eat catfish and was a little disappointed in the wait but we understood the rush. Kayla made our experience going above and beyond to accommodate our wait. She made the experience amazing......until next time Kayla.... we'll ask for ya.“
“First time eating here, and it was phenomenal. I had their classic burger, and my wife had their hot ham and cheese. The burger was cooked to perfection, and was seasoned very well. The hot ham and cheese sub was fresh and very well seasoned. Also ordered a side of their cheese balls, bested tasting cheese bites we've ever had. Most definitely need to try this pub and grill.“
“Whether you are a fourth generation Texan or just passing through the Lone Star State, The Ball Ranch is a very fun way to spend an evening out with friends or family. It is "toe-tapping, Western-swing at its finest!" The venue is a short drive outside of Abilene (less than 8 miles) and seats more than 200 people and can easily accommodate families, friends, anniversary parties or birthday parties. And even on the hottest days in Texas, the temperature in the venue (a new, modern barn) is very pleasant. The evening includes a home-cooked BBQ dinner (usually brisket, sausage, chicken, "tater salad" and beans, followed by homemade peach cobbler) cooked by the members of the Ball Family. Following dinner you will be entertained with a wonderful live musical performance by Gary and Sue Ball and their youngest daughter, Sherry Ball Luster. By way of background, the Ball Family is a third generation musically blessed family. The entire family sings, plays the guitar and writes many of their own songs. They are just as we say in Texas "good people." So the next time you are looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday evening, be sure to call the Ball Family ... I promise it will be worth your while! As this is the first review on Yelp, you can also view their Website at More pictures and information is available on their site. Have fun, y'all!“
“Crooked Creek Meats catered our wedding. We had friends, and family from the east coast, Midwest, Great Plains, and of course Texas. Everyone loved the food! On top of the food, they provide their own tables, table cloths, utensils, plates, and they serve at the buffet line! We could not have picked a better caterer. Highly recommended and we will be following their food truck around for years to come!“
“Tonight we ordered two stuffed chopped brisket potatoes, beans, and peach cobbler. Everything was made so well. The flavor was perfect. The price was very reasonable for what we ordered. I went through the drive thru and took it home and it took about 10 minutes to order and get my food. Wonderful experience all the way around.“
“I just finished a bacon cheeseburger I took out from there. As a 50 year old trucker Ive 8'n burgers from all over the country. Literally. This burger I just finished is the 2nd best I've ever had away from home. #1 being a place in Wyoming. It was good. The place had a great nostalgic vibe to it and everyone was very nice. If I wasn't so full I'd go get another one. Anyway great jobs lady's n gents for fabulous service and very tasty food!“
“They were very busy so slow service is somewhat expected. But I watched our waiter pay all his attention to one table. He lied and said he was sorry everyone say at the same time and he had been taking orders... he was not. I watch the wait staff to see what the reason may be for not even getting drinks for 10 minutes and then had to catch him away from the one table to ask if we could order. We did however get our meal hot and steaks cooked perfectly!!!“
“Best Brisket, this mouth ever tasted. I was trying to remember the name to tell a friend as they were driving through and seen I never left a review. Our visit was a few years ago, and we still talk about the food and how good it was. We live in Georgia and will definitely come back on our way back to “
