My friend told me about this place and I liked it for my first experience. A young girl attended me and she recommended I try the pupusa trio since it’s one of their popular dishes. It came with three pupusa which all of mine had beans and cheese with a side of rice and beans with cabbages. The food was flavorful as for the chips, they were fresh and a bit of salt sprinkled on them. The girl was nice and didn’t bother too much like most waiters would. Will be coming back!

el pulgarcito de america #2 It was our first time going there and our experience was professional at all, they took bout 30 minutes to take our drink order, then another 15-30 minutes to take our order.. the hamburger came with queso sauce not slice cheese they put mayo on which wasn't on the menu or details of the burger when ask to replace the burger because i have a person allergic to mayo she got an attitude and said next time we need say something if on the menu it dont say it comes with mayo all they did was replaced the buns n veggies make us take the patty out the other burger didnt even give the bacon.. they never came to refill our drinks or really check on us.. rushed us out with to go boxes.. very upsetting!!!The burgers were not great at all i had 3 people order burgers noone ate there, i order 6 seafood soup it was delicious and pupadas but we wont be going back!!

Food was no good the service was even worse me and my family got no refills and basically got rushed out of the place about 15 minutes after the food came out and it wasn't even close to closing time I will not go back to this

I worked in restaurants for a good portion of my life so I can be very understanding about many things, but I got my limits. I ordered 2 Canasada and 1 bean and cheese. I was patient with the dirty and cultured restaurant and the slow ungroomed staff with messy hair and jogging pants. But when I got home and tried to chew my first bite of meat in my burrito the meat was so chewy and tough. Like they it was low quality meat or put together quickly, I took one bite and spit it out and tossed it in the trash. Would have been better off going to Taco bell.

Some of the best food I have had in a long time. Full of flavor and huge portions! I haven’t finished a plate of food at a restaurant in a long while and today I cleaned my plate! Will be coming back!

Truth be told, the food was good, much better than I expected especially since most Mexican restaurants here in Abilene have not delivered. The rice though was dry, almost as if it had been made earlier in the day and left out.The service, horrendous.I may go back, but perhaps earlier in the day.

There were strange sounds you generally don't wanna here in a restaurant. The food was phenomenal though. I like the al pastor torta I got was the best I've had in a while.

Instead of updating their menu prices, they just put a label on the menu saying the prices have changed. I should have considered that a red flag and left. I ordered the enchilada plate which says it comes with 3 enchiladas. You can see in the picture provided that I only received 2 and they were pretty small. The portion of fried plantains was laughable for $5 and the cream tasted rancid. Besides the cream, the rest of the food was decent and they provided a good amount of salsa. If I had to speculate as to why my review is dissimilar from others, I would guess it's because I'm coming from DFW and this place is good by Abilene standards.
