The one and only review i posted was for sharons bbq on hwy 80,NOT SHARONS BBQ SOUTH. I have never been there. The ribs at hwy 80 sharons bbq were unfit for human consumption not once but twice. The brisket smelled like the cleaning agent used in septic tanks. Avoid this business. No,they cannot make it right with me,they knew what theyp were doing, bite this.

Their food is overpriced and always has been. But...I enjoyed it and considered it a once-in-a-while treat. A splurge. Anyway, I'm beyond annoyed about my most recent experience. I ordered 2 bbq sandwhices and went through the drive thru. She told me the amount due after I finished ordering, but the girl at the window charged me twice as much. She realized she made a mistake and I could tell she was trying to get help to fix it. She had charged me for a different order altogether. Finally she came to the window after several minutes, shoved 2 receipts in my hand and told me what happened. She said she refunded the wrong order and also charged me for mine. Did she apologize for the wait or inconvenience? No. Did I get that refund? No. I called the restaurant, she said they'd check and call me back. Did they call? No. So my 2 tiny overpriced bbq sandwhiches cost me $50 dollars. Will I be back? No. Will I tell my 15 coworkers who eat their much more often than I? You bet I will.

I had read several excellent reviews so I decided to try this out. I was sorely disappointed when I got the brisket sandwich. Very little meat and a very very small sandwich for $10. Would not

I'm new to the area and discovered Sharon's while delivering food as a driver for Favor. It always smelled so great, and they were always busy.Wanting to try something new, on my 51st birthday, I chose to have dinner here with my family. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. It wasn't the sit-down restaurant I imagined it would be. It was more like a cafeteria line. Choose your meat, then grab sides from the line. Also, the menu at the restaurant was different than what was presented online, so we were unable to have the food we had planned to enjoy. We almost decided to leave but decided we would give it a try. Most of my family ordered from the "cafeteria" while my daughter ordered a burger & fries that had to be made, which is great except we were all done with our food before she received her meal. Also, the potato side appeared to be mashed potatos, which my sister loves, so she piled it on only to discover it was a not so tasty potato salad. It ruined her dinner because all she had was a meat, a biscuit & lots of potato salad, which she wasn't going to eat. I was content with my meal, but I only had brisket & fried Okra, which came a la carte. It was easy to see how disappointed everyone was with their experience. And we have decided that we will never eat there again. As to how much we spent, I don't know because my sister paid for all our meals. I will say that she said it was not worth what she paid.

I've only ever used the drive-thru and disliked the experience every time. The only reason I shopped here was because my mother loved the bread, but now the bread is off the menu. I am very disappointed with this development because my mother isn't getting the treat she enjoyed, but I am happy that I no longer have to eat their overpriced BBQ.

The bbq has been very good lately! My only complaint would be the sides. Beans are kinda bland (but my husband likes), potato salad is too sweet and more like mashed potatoes, corn was a little over cooked and dry. Overall we were satisfied!

That might have been the best peach cobbler I've ever had. The smoked brisket was pretty good too. Their potato salad was a bit too sweet and more like mashed potatoes than I like but it was ok. Good iced tea and great service. Did I mention the peach cobbler. Man it was great.

Upon arriving at Sharon's BBQ in Abilene, Texas, I was greeted by a bustling parking lot, hinting at the culinary delights within. To my immense pleasure, I discovered an unparalleled barbecue experience, surpassing any I've encountered in Texas or beyond. Engaging with the affable cashier and, presumably, the owner, their commitment to excellence echoed in the sublime barbecue we ordered. While initially deeming it a tad pricey, the quality justified the cost, offering generous portions of delectable potato, coleslaw, and an unforgettable jalapeno cornbread that beckons one to purchase an entire pan. Opting for sausage with burnt rib tips proved a revelation, a journey to barbecue nirvana that left me in awe, at 50 years old and after traversing the culinary landscapes of various cities and states, declaring Sharon's BBQ a pinnacle of Texas barbecue mastery. Should you chance upon my review, do not miss the opportunity to savor the authentic taste of Southern barbecue, meticulously crafted in the true Texas tradition at Sharon's. And, of course, indulge in the jalapeno corn – a culinary marvel worthy of buckets.Vegetarian options: Yes veggie options
