First time to get this wonderful BBQ and be disappointed. The meat was very greasy and the flavor was not like it usually is. It had way more fat than usual. I actually paid for 1/2 lb of fat. Not up to their usual standards.

Hands down best BBQ in town! Staff is super friendly and make you feel at home. Do yourself a favor and stop in!!

So far so good I make it a point to stop here every time I'm in Abilene Pastrami wings are the best along with the pickled onions (if they haven't run out) It's a nouveau menu with new twists on country "hickabilly" staples I would definitely recommend

The food was underwhelming. The brisket tasted like the use artificial smoke flavor and a LOT of it. The best thing about this place were the napkins. They at least buy good paper goods. Other than that I have to say there are much better options for BBQ in Abilene.

Great service and love the food. Had the shrimp tacos they are huge and very tasty. Also ordered the brisket and rib combo with Mac n cheese, potato salad and a piece of bread. Was very taste and I bbq quite frequently and I had no complaints. I recommend visiting this place if you want a good meal and don't want to have to spend hours waiting for some good bbq/smoked meats. Thanks for the great service and food. Wish I had taken a pic it was a pretty spread but I devoured it way to quick.

Best fine dining style bbq food ever. In a pudunk little shack in the biggest poor town in texas, Abilene. Very costly but worth it. The inside is not podunk btw, it's very clean and nice looking inside. Not to mention the blonde chick that works there is very nice looking as well if wondering what to get, it's all good, specially the mushroom Mac and Cheese.

It was okay, nothing to write home about since brisket was dry, but they have really good napkins at the tables.

I should have taken a picture of the plate before I started devouring it due to the flavor. Looking at the brisket, I didn't have high hopes for the flavor. I was dead wrong. No BBQ sauce needed, seriously. I'm not a big BBQ connoisseur, and I'm sure some overly serious I'm high on myself back yard BBQ dude/dudette will say otherwise.Their turkey doesn't disappoint either!!Wow, great place, great food! Not to mention my entire family was not disappointed. Whether visiting or living here in Abilene this is a must eat.

I really enjoyed the food. The exterior makes this the best secret Abilene has. When you find this place you won't forget it. The menu has nothing that is less than great. From the mac & cheese to the brisket it's all good. Oh, and the sweet tea will make you think of mom's sweet tea she made ya when you were growing up. I had the brisket baked potato. I have never had a better bbq baked potato better than this one. My aunt and I drove from Dallas just to have lunch here. We will come back because there is no downside to coming here. Be prepared to leave with a doggie bag cause you want to enjoy this later again.

I am very difficult to impress especially when it comes to BBQ. This was absolutely wonderful! They were fast, extremely friendly, and the brisket is out of this world!! I will definitely be returning!

The exterior belies the interior. It is a very clean and well designed restaurant on the inside. The food is good and I enjoyed the fried jalepeno poppers that were added to the brisket sandwich.

This place is one of my favorite places when I come visit my mom in Abilene. I always take it to go and always enjoy it. I can make all the sounds that sound inappropriate but is so good.

My wife and I ate here for the first time since we saw this on Restaurant Impossible and it was really good. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the sweet young lady at the order desk, which we easily found, was spot on with her recommendations. The brisket was delicious and the pork ribs were even better. All the sides we had were very good, especially the cowboy beans. My wife had the brisket loaded baked potato and she really liked it. It was huge and she only ate half of it. And the iced tea was great, which it should be in a Texas BBQ joint. What was really cool was all the other things; real silverware, real glasses, even nice napkins. And the remodel was better than we imagined from the TV show. All and all it was a great experience and I will highly recommend Cowboy BBQ. I wish them the best of success with this revival.
