I asked for fatty brisket and the pulled pork straight up with a side of barbecue sauce and vegetables to get a feel for place. Brisket had a light smoked flavor and pulled pork was about what you would expect for typical Texas.Barbecue sauce was heavy, sweet with a good pepper bite, but a little thicker and sweeter than I prefer but thats personal preference. I really wanted to like this place. So in order to accurately get a comparison of how good the BBQ meats were I ordered a 2 meat plate (and added a 3rd meat) at HEB last week and ordered exactly the same here at Local Smoke BBQ. I ordered pulled pork, brisket and sausage.To be completely honest the meat was a bit dry and flavor was just okay.
