Food was awful...tasteless...hamburger tasted like it had some type filler in the meat......my grandson stated that his hot dog taste funny....out of 4 orders at our table 3 were in correct.....I would not recommend to anyone....place was clean however there were several tables that need to be cleaned......place was NOT busy!

Portillo's is one of the BEST fast food places ever. Its fast food, but the quality far surpasses every other fast food restaurant. Their burgers are some of the best I've tasted and their special sauce is to die for. Fries are always hot and fresh! Italian beef was perfect as always, really bringing in that Chicago flavor. Note to anyone that is not familiar with Italian beef- it is supposed to be soggy and wet because what the beef is cooked in gives it its flavor. Restaurant was very clean and perfectly mashed Chicago and Texas elements. I recommend anyone and everyone to go here!

This place was ok. I'm not from Chicago so maybe I don't see why a lot of Chicagoan's say it's fantastic. It's a hot dog and or roast beef sandwich that is fine at best. I will say the milkshake was pretty good. Other than that I'm fine with not heading back. However, if you are into Chicago hot dogs and roast beef sandwiches this place is for you.
As a long time customer, lived in another state when I first ate at Portillo's, I found the chopped salad has changed. One noticeable difference is the salad is smaller. My wife and I like to order this salad and a chicken sandwich which we split.

I just ate lunch there on Sunday and was super excited because I could finally go to a hotdog place...Not impressed. Brought the entire family, I had the Chicago dog with everything and the polish. I'm a huge fan of hot dogs and had them everywhere, these are not special or taste particularly good. The beef hot dog is very soft, lacks the snap in a solid beef weiner and processed like a cheap hot dog from the dollar store, mild beef flavor. The pickle and peppers were not pickled enough, they provided a crunch but no Zang or additional flavor. Everyone else had burgers and chicken and they all said it was regular-OK.The Polish tasted good, the grilled onions had no flavor at all.The staff and service are great ?

One of the best beef sandwiches I’ve ever had. I asked the cashier what she likes since I’d never been there before and she suggested it. Adding the sweet and hot peppers along with cheese is a must! The crinkle fries reminded me of the fries I ate at the little league ballpark when I was a kid. The cheese sauce was ok. They have ketchup. My only suggestion would be to carry some Shiner Bock or another Texas beer besides Revolver B&H.I’ll definitely being going back!

We moved from Chicago, and love Portillo's. We don't know why the food is never hot, only lukewarm. If they got the temperature right, it would be five stars. Maybe they need more employees. It wasn't busy when we visited, yet it took longer than normal to receive our lukewarm food.
