Good stick-to-your-ribs homestyle cooking. Very busy during our weekend morning visit, so service was understandably a little slow. We were first-time visitors to Alpine and we got a great sense of the spirit of the community while eating here.
Pancakes as big as your head! Husband has Huevos Racheros. Different than what we're normally used to but said it was still very good. Not much parking, but bigger on the inside.

Always liked the chicken fried steak here in my annual visits to Alpine. Last time I took To Go because I travel with a dog now. I mentioned it and they said, you can sit on the front porch with your dog, we'll bring your meal to you. Covered patio with ceiling fan is comfortable, and the meal was good as always. Friendly folks (staff and customers both).Parking: Parking lot gets filled at mealtime, but on street parking is available too.
