Please Come Back, I Need You In My Life. I Could Go For A Little Salisbury Steak And Mash Potatoes Right About Now. Please Don't Take A Piece Of My Childhood From Me.

Ever since the COVID Started, they started going down hill. Tonight just topped it off. Everything tasted nasty. Their hamburger steak wasn't cooked all the way. 3/4 of the food was bland. Their waitresses were not coming to the table. We had to wait for approximately 10 minutes before we got our drinks and silverware. We will not be coming back anytime soon.

Furr's cafeteria has been a staple of America, since my childhood in the early 70s. It was always a very special treat to get to go to Furr's cafeteria with my family, throughout my entire childhood and young adult life. Even as an adult and traveling through other cities and states, if I saw a Furr's, I would stop and eat there. Now Furr's has transitioned into a self-serve buffet, and now since Covid, they have changed it into a rectangle where other employees serve you themselves from the Buffet. You would think that they are tethered to the floor the way they act when they have to serve you. Furr's used to beat Luby's hands-down. Everyone sees what happened to Luby's...... they all had to shut down because they lost all their customers. My elderly mother, God rest her soul, used to love to go to this place. It was a special thing to take her there. The food has been declining in quality for many years now. It is by the hospital and medical district, so many senior citizens and other folks like to go here for a good quality, good selection, square meal while traveling from other small locations around the Panhandle of Texas into Amarillo for business or healthcare needs. This place is now disgusting and ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food and the customer service you receive. The employees are no longer friendly, and it is more expensive to come eat here than it is to go out to a lunch special or dinner at another nearby restaurant location. The food is mostly cold and tasteless. It is like frozen dinners that they reheat and thaw out in place on the Buffet. The meat is rubbery, the fish is nasty, and the vegetables are not seasoned. The dessert bar is good, and the salad bar is good. Other than that, anything that they need to cook is barely edible. I am so disappointed in this Furr's Buffet restaurant. I can understand the new serving layout for people because of Covid, but the employees act like they are absolutely miserable, and loathe you as they have to place your requests on your plate. Customer should never be made to feel like that. I don't know what is going on with management, but something really needs to be done or this location is going to have to shut down. You're losing every single customer you ever had. I miss the good all days of Furr's Cafeteria, and even Furr's Buffet. One more thing, each time I have been here, the restroom is typically very nasty. It does not receive the attention that it needs. And I have actually seen employees going in there with kitchen serving utensils. I don't know what that's all about!

If you like food that is old, cold, and food that reminds you of canned dog food this is the place to go. The workers also seem really annoyed with serving up you portions that you want when you are not allowed to serve yourself because of the pandemic. Get some fresh food!

Furr's used to be awesome back in the day day, now it has really gone down hill. Would really like to sit down and talk to a manager on how they can approve.

Parking lot seems dangerous with no outside lighting on. Not sure if that's the norm or not. Food tasted good. Probably not as good as it used to, but fried chicken was flavorful. Variety was pretty good. Take a walk around before you let them fill your plate so you have an idea of what you want. Of course that was easy on a non busy Tuesday. Wait staff was kind and attentive. Floors seemed really dirty unfortunately but each time they cleaned a table it looked thorough and sanitized. They have carpet under the tables so I'm sure its not the easiest to clean up messes there. Glad we went and I hope they can make it through the pandemic. They are trying. I saw several people in there eating alone so I'm sure its a comfortable place for them to dine on the variety.

Did not like their setup, understand why the buffet was setup like it was, but the staff was rude, food cold, had no flavor, long grey hair in my salad. The waitress took about 10 minutes to bring my coffee, didn't ask if I needed creamer, and when we tried to ask her for something she didn't give us a chance to. As soon as she brought out our drinks she took off, checked on us only one time. At the buffet area they lady serving us, was rushing us and sighed when I would tell her what I wanted. Then when I asked for a salad she put maybe 7 pieces of lettuce and when I asked her please add a bit more, she sighed and said rudely more. Very disappointing. It use to be one of our favorite Sunday places. We won't be back.

This used to be my one of my favorites they kinda went down hill based on my last visit. The food was kinda old tasting especially the turkey. The waitress was nice.

Was excited to go to my favorite restaurant, to find out some of the food was cold. The rolls were hard as a rock, and the fresh ones hardened quickly as the old ones. The prices are going up too.

Got pretty packed when we went in around 5pmFood was hot but I wasn’t a fan of some of the items.Mac and cheese was soupy so I gave that to my son and the mashed potatoes were dry :( service was good though I had a nice server and she came back to change my husbands drinks many times which was nice . If the macaroni was better and the potatoes were better I’d definitely give another star who knows maybe next time .01/02/2021

Food was delicious. Service was lacking. Cold coffee. I had to go find our waitress huddled with the other girls and a male employee BSing. No one in the restaurant except us an two other families.

We have always loved Furrs, and we were leery about going now with The Covid virus, but Veterans Day today we went in. They have their tables and chairs set up for social distancing and the food tray tables so perfect to show the variety of the foods and they also have servers serving each and everyone. Everything was so RIGHT. Perfect in my and my families eyes. Thank you for your consideration and concerns during this time.

Cold food, beef was like jerky, nacho cheese was lumpy and watery, and the waitresses stood around talking and wouldn't wait on the tables. And servers at the bar were angry looking and rude.

Went with my grandparents, because it's their favorite cafeteria style place to eat. They closed the one in the town they live in, sadly. But they really enjoyed this location, and my husband and I also enjoy it when we come. Huge selection of good food for whatever everybody in the family is in the mood for!
