Party of 4 adults on a Sunday morning. We ordered 2 waffles with pecans and bacon; 1 veggie wrap; and 1 breakfast plate - egg, bacon, waffle. Pros: As reported by other yelpers, this place has a clean and lively atmosphere; and excellent staff. Cocktails are served! Ok: Food and drinks are good. Portions are average to large. And, I found the price reasonable (about $12 per person). Others felt it was expensive for waffles. Why they lost the star: The menu is confusing to the newcomer. For example, you should always ASSUME it's a waffle. "Wraps" are not in tortillas, they are in waffles, "Sammy/sandwiches" are not served on slices of bread, they are served between 2 waffles. This is very fun and on the theme, but explained NOWHERE. "Sweets" are not pastries, they are toppings for the assumed waffles (how many waffles?). A "Waffle Brown" is a hashbrown shaped like a waffle. Options to consider: Order waffle and bacon crispy. Order honey or spicy honey instead of syrup.

Perfect in every aspect. The atmosphere is excellent. The staff are positive and go above and beyond. The food was awesome. I would highly suggest the browns (hashbrown waffle) with any meal. The cappuccino are delicious, as well as anything we've had on the menu.

Had the “Nashville hot” chicken and the Nashville sauce was just chili powder and oil. The fried chicken was paper thin and the breading fell of almost immediately. Another dish if you even wanna call it that I had was the eggs benny. The hollandaise sauce was a sad excuse for a sauce. The plating looked like an arts and craft project for a 2nd grader. Over all Golden Waffle is a sad excuse for a restaurant. 0 out of 10 would not recommend. Way better options in this town.

Giving money to the new ownership is not worth the meh food. Definitely skip this place and look to better brunch options.

This place really went down hill after ownership changed. Terrible owners. I can not and will not support this place.

I will never eat there again! Not only is the food subpar, but I can no longer give my money to help them support fascism. Their support for the sanctuary city ordinance is appalling and not welcome in our city!

Giving a one star because I have Celiac disease, and I specifically asked for a gluten-free waffle and they told me I all waffles could be made gluten free that they had their own gluten free waffle machine so I ordered the smaller size of waffle it comes out looking fried but I didn’t know any better it was my first time eating there. When the server set my plate down I asked again this is gluten free correct she confirmed it was. I get through some of my plate and I notice there is a couple of fried pickles on my plate, it concerned me so I went back up to the lady and asked why is there a fried pickle on my plate when I ordered waffles she said because it is fried. I said then do you use a gluten free recipe on fried pickles or have a separate fryer for gluten free she said no they aren’t gluten free and we use the same fryer for everything so I said so the waffle isn’t gluten free and she said let me go ask, comes back and confirms my plate isn’t gluten free after all. I can’t understand why it would even be considered gluten free if it is cross contaminated. This breaks my heart and worst it completely messes up my stomach. I’ll be sick from this incident for about a week. I really wish people would take Gluten free serious but it still seems to be a fad. Please do better!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free not taken serious! Be careful!

We went in Saturday mid-morning and most tables were waiting for food, obviously overcrowded so we left and returned Monday to a very light time. In spite of light business we waited too long for a cold waffle, cold syrup, and poorly cooked eggs, bacon/sausage. The so-called Belgian waffle looked more like an Eggo out of the box. Very disappointed! Lots of better places in town for waffles.

Service is good, the cashier was very kind! However, we started off with coffee which was not good. We can arguably say it's the worst coffee we've ever had. We were hopeful for the food but when we received it we were missing items and things were also displaced. To finish it off, none of the food tasted well considering the price. We were very dissatisfied and this trip resulted in a lot of wasted food. Our experience encouraged us to write this review to advise others to spend their money elsewhere.

Nice place for Sunday Brunch. Friendly staff. The menu has lots to choose from. However, the waffles were luke warm. Very disappointing!!! For the price. The butter was too chill to spread on the waffle. The drink specials were nice. Will think twice before going back..
