We have been here 3 or 4 times, because we believe in giving every place the benefit of the doubt. However, despite several raving recommendations, each of our visits has not really been worth what we paid. Service was great on 3 of the 4 visits, which is why we kept trying, but the food just doesn't compare to someplace like Saltgrass, where the prices are similar. I can't say we won't try again, but it is unlikely in the near future. Perhaps we just needed to order different entrees, but I'm not sure what those would be. We did love the atmosphere, and as I said, the service was great, but we generally go out to mostly enjoy the food of choice on a given day/night.

My 10 Oz ribeye may have been the best I've ever had. Perfect sear, perfect cut, perfect cook. 10/10 will go back next time we pass through Amarillo.

Coming from out of state and I have never written a review before. I told my wife, if I'm in Amarillo Texas I had to have steak. Well we never heard of Hoffbrau and the hotel recommended it, best decision made all day.Came in the atmosphere was perfect. My wife and I were greeted by our waitress Lilian and she seemed to be in high spirits. I ordered the 16 oz bone in ribeye and she had the half rack of ribs... The steak was perfect and so were the ribs. Both my wife and I both agreed this is the best steak house we have been to. And the boss should give Lilian a raise, she was excellent.
