I liked this place. It reminded me of an old fashioned 1950s or 60s Diner like my parents and I used to stop at when we traveled when I was a little girl. The only thing I didn't like, although even it was somewhat nostalgic, is that the inside smells very strongly of old smoke as soon as I walked through the front door. The smell wasn't pleasant but at the same time it also reminded me of going into restaurants as a child and even as an adult. After I was in there for about 5 minutes I stopped even noticing it but I worried about it getting in my clothing. Since smoking inside places has been banned for quite a while I figured it was left over from the days before that unless the employees are smoking in there after they're closed. That might cause it to build up also. The girls that served me were nice and the food was good. I got a chicken salad half sandwich along with a bowl of soup, beef vegetable, and a piece of pie to go at the end since they were closing. Peanut butter pie was very um, sticky, and so sweet it actually lasted me for three different desserts! The soup tasted like it was either homemade or at least partly home made with a packaged broth. It was hard to tell but it hit the spot either way. The chicken salad was also very good. I would definitely go back here even though it's not real close to where I'm staying in town. I saw other things on the menu that I would like to try. If you like old-fashioned diners and don't mind the smoke smell then I definitely recommend this place. They are only open until about 2 p.m. I think. I'd have to look it up to be sure. They would probably be a great breakfast spot also.

Doesn't look great from the outside. But the parking lot was packed on a Saturday morning. So that was a good sign so we went in! But walked inside and was hit by a terrible stench of cigarette smoke. The restaurant has a smoking section but it is open to the non smoking section. The food was OK but the smoke significantly detracted from the experience. It's a shame they don't separate the section. The food was average (3 stars). Nothing spectacular on the menu. Just normal breakfast food.

Smoking section is so close you can see the smoke and let's just say the ventilation is not that great. Food okay.

The place has been open since 1942. Wow, they had car hops bring you food and beverage including beer that you could enjoy in your car. Not to forget, the food was fantastic and plentiful! Got to visit before the gentrification happens. Let's keep this place open!!

This place doesn't deserve any stars. Visited this place with another couple on a Sunday afternoon- the place was almost empty. Service was awful as the waiter kept forgetting to bring us items & didn't know the menu. The roast was so tough it wasn't edible. They were out of two or three things from the menu. Definitely wouldn't go back.
