We lived in Louisiana for a brief period. In that time we fell in love with Cajun cuisine. I liked it so much that I joke if I ever become suicidal, I’m going to travel to Louisiana, eat myself to death and die happy. Since leaving Louisiana a decade ago, we have looked for, but not found Cajun cooking worth our time or money. That is until today.Looking for a quick lunch while we were in Amarillo, we came across The Lost Cajun. What a blessing. The menu had us drooling. We both order “small” lunches, and in true Cajun hospitality form, they brought us more food than we could eat at one meal. I had the (small) Cajun Pasta Alfredo. My wife had the (small) Fish Platter and a side of hushpuppies. We both loved it!We arrived after the lunch rush, and were greeted warmly by every employee. Our server was delightful and professional. The location is awkward to get to, but the food and service is worth circling the block once or twice until you figure it out.We shall return!
they have the lost correct too bad they don't know cajun. the food was terrible no seasoning, if they came to cajun country they wouldn't last a week. guess that's why there in the texas panhandle thinking no one would catch them. caught you!

I ordered the all you can eat Seafood Gumbo. Out of two servings, I don’t call three small salad shrimp seafood. If all I wanted to order was rice and roux, it would’ve been perfect.If you’re going to advertise seafood as an entrée, I think there should’ve been more than three salad shrimp in my entrée. I have always loved the lost Cajun but will be hard-pressed to go back after this meal.

This place is great! Their customer service is great and they go above and beyond for the customer. We had a negative experience with a Doordash order and they worked with and helped us. Great seafood and great customer service! 10/10!

Great little spot that you might not easily catch. Loved the decor and zydeco background. Gator tips, boudin balls and jambalaya all recommended. If you can't decide, get a flight of three.

Food was not as good as a cajun restaurant. No seafood or sausage in seafood gumbo..looking like bland gravyAnd rice. The shrimpAnd blackened shrimp-should have seasoning at least. Only thing going was the grits were not stiff. If you want authenticGo to Louisiana bc this is where you learn food and not wanna be. I'm from Louisiana and every one I know stated the same about the food. Chain food

Was in Amarillo for work and happened to see a Cajun restaurant so of course I’m gonna try it who doesn’t love Cajun food? Hospitable staff and delicious food here. Will be back next time my job sends me to Amarillo.
The food was burnt tasting but undercooked, like the fryer was way too hot. My wife got the Alfredo and it was very bland. I went because this place had great reviews and I was disappointed. The service wasn't all that great either.

UPDATE 2024: Food is still great! The ambience has softened to a well loved cajun road side restaurant. And they changed the chairs... and they are great for wide loads! ?2020: Loved the food! They bring out a taster sample of each of the signature dishes... but... their chairs are not fat girl friendly and the ambience is a little harsh, like we expected lower lighting and it felt like Walmart instead. Great waitress!

I read some reviews before going in so I thought it would have small portions. Well to the contrary I ordered 4 pieces fish platter and I'm taking some home!! Food was AMAZING!!! Staff was outta this world!! Thanks guys for excellent service to 3 outta towners!!
