My husband and I wanted to try something new while we were in Amarillo and we decided to go to Six Car Pub and Brewery. We loved the interior of the restaurant as well as the outdoor area they have. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was the only one waiting at the time and she did great at checking on us. She also made great recommendations for the beer sampler. Our favorite was the El Vaquero but all 4 were great. I ordered the Climate Change burger and substituted the pepper jack cheese with the beer cheese, it is definitely in the top 5 of the best burgers I have ever had. My husband had the Short Rib Grilled Cheese and he could not stop oohing and ahhing while eating it. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Amarillo!

Sorry to rate this review as it has been a few days later. They just reopened after a remodeling and it looks great. Food was wonderful as was the servers. We wanted to sit outside (in the freezing weather] but they didn't have propane yet. They were so good at meeting our needs. Will definitely go back when on the area. Thanks

Solid food, great drinks, and phenomenal service. Enjoyed the pub feel and relaxed atmosphere. Really good service even when they were really busy

It's a trap. I like to give places the benefit of the doubt but If roll into a place that is 4.3 stars I usually expect something that will blow my socks off. My socks are still firmly on. Beer selection surprisingly limited. Not a huge variety. It was cold, that's about all I can say for taste. We had a ranch water from the bar and it tasted like a watered down limeade with a splash of tequila. Pretzels filled with cheese and jalapeños sounded awesome on paper for an app. It was basically dough wrapped around string cheese. The dough was warm at best but the cheese inside was cold. Im not saying it was not as hot as it should be, or luke warm or room temperature. It was like straight out of the fridge or freezer cold. My youngest got the pulled pork sliders. He said they weren't bad. My oldest had the wings and gave them a 3 out of 5. They looked kind of small but he was happy. I got the climate change burger. It was solid. I like spicy stuff and expected some heat and the climate change sauce had it. They should probably put a little better description on it because it would probably be too much for a lot of people. The fries were pretty bland and basic. The vibe of the place was a little odd. The food came out in baskets wrapped in foil, they had an open kitchen area that probably shouldn't have been open. The lower floor where we sat was huge and it felt like we were eating in a cave. I walked up with high hopes because it was a cool looking spot from the outside but walked out confused that so many people gave it 5 stars. I'd usually give a place like this 3 stars but I'm going with 2 to offset the people who gave it 5.

Walked in to an almost empty house, 6 hosts says to sit anywhere... after about 12 minutes of sitting there with nobody coming over I just left. It was clear the staff are there to hang out and I guess just being a single table wasn't appealing them.

Food was great, service was pretty terrible. We waited for 30 mins before a server attended to us, and only after we got one's attention passing by. The place was not busy when we went 3 hours before closing. Also had to go up to the bar and ask for the check from a worker doodling on a napkin (not our server). If you go, I recommend the vegan grilled cheese.

Nice place downtown, we sat upstairs and it was a little quieter than the main floor. Only bummer was part of the keg and tap system was down and they only had a couple of draft beers. Food looked and smelled amazing, we didn't order anything as we had eaten a really late lunch. Just a great reason to stop back by! Service was very responsive.

The Sudds is one of the best Kölsch beers I've had. The Polktoberfest and Thunder Bock were game changers! I just had a snack and grabbed the Spicy Fried Cheese Curds on the waitresses recommendation, they did not disappoint! Just wish I'd have been hungrier as the menu looked awesome. The ambience and service were also great!!

Food was ok. Had a live fly wedged into my waffle. It destroyed our appetite so we stopped eating. Couldn't even send a manager to address the issue. Left and won't return again. Disgusting.

We love Six Car, the margaritas upstairs with Sarafiona are simply amazing and Cole the manager always takes care of our needs. If you are local or visiting Amarillo Texas please please give this a try. You will be back! Go in on the weekend after 5:00 upstairs to eat and drink, dog friendly and the evening fall and winter outside options as well. My favorite is the Comanche Moon Margarita upstairs the smashed burgers and of course the fish and chips with sweet potatoes fries.

Outstanding service and the food is incredible! Six Car Pub & Brewery NEVER disappoints!! The staff is so friendly and accommodating and always eager to provide suggestions. The bar staff are amazing cocktail artists. Be ready for a great dining experience!!!

Yelp really should give you the option to give a restaurant extra stars every once in a while. This place is an absolute gem. Every item on their menu is a 10/10. Except the impossible burger because that's not food. Our server, Parlow, is one of the best the industry has to offer. Not just in Amarillo, but anywhere. I wish I had 20 clones of him when I was a restaurant manager. Great move to have him training new employees. Keep him happy because he is a huge asset to this place. I'd drive the 1,200 miles back just to go to this place.

We were passing through town and were unfamiliar with the area. I was so pleased we found this place! It has a great selection of craft beers and a nice variety on the menu, enough selection to please from Grandma to the kids. The service was good and the waiter spent some time talking to us, sharing his love of brewing his own beer, not just taking the order. If I would criticize anything, I'd say the seats weren't that comfortable, but not so much that I'd remove stars. I probably just had a tired-of-travel backside!
