There's a mile of Route 66 right in Amarillo so it's worth driving through. Some shops and restaurants to replicate the time of an active highway. Wild Bill's was a good choice for casual food, setting,etc. Comfortable menu, featuring the homemade potato chips. They were delectable. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, entertainment, etc. Great waiter, so anxious to make our visit positive. We liked it.
Wild Bill’s was a good choice for lunch on a Saturday. We were pretty much the only ones there, food was hot and came out in a timely manner. What we had: Jalapeño Cheddar Corn Nuggets were delicious, they are not spicy but are extremely hot when they come to the table. Next was the bacon chez burger with added (50¢) green chili. Normal but grilled bun, good fresh veggies, thick crunch bacon, cheese. The patty was home made with really good seasoning. I will ask for medium rare next time due to it being a bit over cooked and dry for my liking. The French fries, were fresh cut and seasoned perfectly. Overall experience was good. Not a fan of the slight smoke smell throughout the restaurant. Will try again.
