“Great place. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious. They have live music on the weekends. The owner is there all the time and will sit around with the customers. Plus the bar itself has a ton of character if you’re looking for something unique and fun, this is it.“

“Best bbq I've ever had. We had the Brisket, beef ribs, texas twinkies, creamed corn, and jalapeño pinto beans. Everything was sooo good. Strong smoke flavor, peppery dry rub, rich beefy flavor, perfect pink ring and bark (for all the bbq connoisseurs). Sauce was on the side and not too sweet. Plus, the complimentary desserts for dine-in customers was worth saving room for. Banana pudding was especially good, and I don't even like banana pudding.I like the ordering process where you pay by weight for the meat. There doesn't seem to be a minimum, which means you're not stuck with large quantities of everything when you want to try different things. Sides are sooo good and very reasonably priced. You pay a few bucks for a small paper boat tray or a small plastic deli container, and you fill it with whatever you want. Pickles, fresh onions, and chili peppers are free. The line is SLOW and the wait is long. We got there at 4 pm on a weekday. Albeit, it was the eclipse day, so maybe more tourists and people off from work. The line hadn't made it to the first corner of the building outside yet but it still took about an hour. When we left it was wrapped around the first corner. There was no shade. I agree with other reviewers that they've got to increase efficiency. Definitely worth the wait, though. Also, you'll leave smelling like smoke. It permeates your hair and clothes. You'll still be exhaling smoke the next day.Parking: Plenty of parking“

“Staff is amazing!! I feel like I'm at someone's ranch home and they invited me over to eat some great Q, drink something adult and listen to some live music among friends. This place is really something special! Hidden on the backroads outside of McKinney city limits is this outdoor only seating, cozy eatery w/ a small bar; if you weren't looking for it you might miss it! Mom and I found out this land and restaurant is owned by a South African native who raises his own cattle for the restaurant. We really enjoyed the ribs, brisket and sausage. DELISH!! Another cool piece to this place is the sweet/quaint country store inside. They sell things like homemade local salsas, raw meats and a few other specialty items. I would HIGHLY recommend this place especially during the warmer months!“

“Just enjoyed a lovely lunch!! Love going to a pizza restaurant where everything is fresh and on the healthier side. I prefer pizza crust a tad thicker, but the taste is so incredible that thickness didn't matter. The Caesar salad was delicious!!Great experience! Super friendly folks!! We'll be back!!“

“Ok I have heard about this place, but always rolled my eyes. When we moved here, my husband took me to EVERY smokehouse under the sun. They all tasted the same to me. This place is AWESOME ! The meat is wonderful. I asked for lean and when the teen behind the counter served my plate it wasn't very lean looking to me. They saw my face drop and asked what was wrong? I told them it did not look very lean, so they got out a new brisket. Fixed it and told me if it doesn't look lean to you it's not lean. Now that is SERVICE. Atmosphere is TX family BBQ friendly. I would give it a 10 out of 5 if I could.“

“Delicious and tender. Seriously, the brisket is amazing and my hubby says the ribs are too. They are at the church on 5 between Melissa and Anna every Saturday. Better than most of the restaurant barbeque you get around here. You should definitely give it a try.“
