Food was okay, arrived hot and well cooked. Little to no attention to plating for visual appeal. Low service people. Poor waitress was having to cover full back room and half fro t. Need more employee help. We saw 7 ladies there but only 2 were attending customers. Meals were delivered scattered. Our orders were si.ple and not specialty requests but the food arrived in no order and it took quite a while for the service. We felt bad for the waitress, she appeared very embarrassed and at one point close to frustrated tears. Luckily this restruNt is much beloved and is a very popular lo g term eatery owned by a great family. Seems after adding a second eatery in Rockport the aransas pass pla e seems a bit neglected. Menu is predictable and follows weekly meal traditions that are well known and enjoyed.

If the dude in Breaking Bad opened a restaurant, this would be it.Not lit.Unless you're in the kitchen where the waitstaff and prep cooks are smoking cigarettes. The Remnant House of Worship up the street has better Fried chicken after Friday Service AND it's free to eat there.Don't know what all the hype is about this place.Whack.

Had breakfast: eggs, bacon & hash browns cooked exactly as ordered. Coffee could be a little stronger for my taste. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Will return.

This place is an icon for Aransas Pass. We don't mind the atmosphere of the 60's with the counter and the stools. The food is always good. They are always nice and you can't beat the price. We always sit in a booth and never go that we don't see a friend or two.

We were the first table sat in the back, followed by 5 other tables within 15 minutes. All five other tables got their food before us. We had to flag another waitress down for help as ours was mia. We were a table of two and all we ordered was omelettes. Nothing special or custom. Our waitress didn’t even acknowledge that there was a problem, nor did she apologize for the wait or provide and relief. So dissatisfied. We will not be returning

The place was very busy. To us, this means good food. And we were not disappointed. Our food arrived quickly. The portions were larger than expected, and the taste was very good. Our waitress was friendly and made sure everything was how we liked it.

I travel to Ingleside often to visit my fiancé. And we love to eat at different restaurants. This was my first visit to “the Bakery Cafe” my fiancé said the food was good but hoped the service improved. Well sadly the serviced was “very poor”. We placed our Oder and got our coffee and tea first with no time waiting. This was on a Saturday, smooth flow of customers arriving. We placed our order, realized other people was getting their order before us and arrived after us. We then timed it 10Minutes to see if our food would cone out. Within the 10 minutes we waited, new customers arrived and placed their order. As we went to the registered to cancel our order and pay for our teas , the people got their breakfast. The Spanish young girl at the register seemed bothered that we cancelled our order but I said , honestly if you were in our shoes, how you like it waiting for you food over 30 minutes while orders got their other. Not Cool At All!! I think maybe they were prejudice, my fiancé is Caucasian and I’m Spanish. Never will I return there again. They had no care in the world that we got bad service. God bless your staff.
