umm...my first time trying this place. I got a coffee w cream & salt and a banh mi. The man putting the sandwiches together started COUGHING omg..for a long time. just coughing and he was not wearing any mouth covering. Im like..sheeettt....what do i do...don't wanna be a Karen up in here. So i didn't say anything. everyone there was also quiet. line starting to form behind me..ummm...I hear a little mucus in his cough. Thankfully he stopped before he got to my sandwhich. But STILL...i don't see any gloves on him either. My God. So then i finally got my order and the coffee was good. not bad. The banh mi...I tried a small bite of the bread, too soft for my liking. I looked at the meat inside...not appetizing at all. it was red and not even warm...and with the whole coughing thing...i'm done. i threw it away. Sorry, i wanted to support a hole in wall kinda place, but mannnn....

I didn't stop by my usual banh mi place and I remember about this location. It's been a LONG time (like 10 years) since I swung by and it's change alot. I was extremely turned off by seeing the maker put meat in a bowl and then putting it in the microwave. LOL. not so much that I picked up and left, but i was a little stunned it was so obvious :) the sandwich was good. tasted fine. My complaint is with the coffee I bought and it's cost. The Sandwich price was $4.95. that's fine! normal. I grabbed a coffee in the frig thinking it would be great. No prices there. My fault. I should have asked. how much could it be? my final bill was $14.79. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THIS TINY COFFEE WAS THAT EXPENSIVE? Do you see how small it is? It's not tiny, but it's not a venti drink from starbucks! it's smaller than my sandwich! There was also a sign on the register that said they would charge a CC fee for anything under $5. no. they charge it for any amount apparently b/c i was charged the CC fee when she saw me grabbing my card. I know things costs money and I know times are hard blah blah blah. but that was SNEAKY. she pushed that button right when she saw my CC and i didn't have the energy to argue so I paid it. I won't be going back...that's for sure.

Very good food, bread was fresh. Both soft and crunchy. Definitely 4 stars or above. Would recommend the BBQ pork sandwich.

Stopped here on a whim while heading to work on a Sunday morning and grabbed a special combination and bbq pork Banh mi. I've gotta say the combination is one of the best I've ever had. Bread exterior is crispy but not hard and the interior is soft and chewy. The meats were all delicious and the butter and pate complemented everything. I live near white rock and will make the drive again just for their Banh mi.

One of the worst banh mi I have ever had. I have had plenty! I am not sure if they are normally bad or the guy making the sandwiches was just plain lazy. Ordered 5 grilled porks that had very sparse meat and even more sparse veggies. For 5 sandwhiches, think there was equivalent to half sandwich worth of veggies that you would normally get anyplace else. They definitely do not deserve the ratings they had in the past.

Saigon Cali used to be my go to. I used to love this place; however, my child got food poisoning aka explosive diarrhea after eating here. After this happened, I asked around and my other friends also got really sick after eating the food from here as well. I'd give 0 stars if I could. It has come to my attention that the meat is just microwaved when you placed your order and the place is just overall really dirty . Go if you want food poisoning !!

Fantastic bahn mi/ boba shop. One of the best in Arlington. Prices are very reasonable. Recently purchased a house 12 inch special for $3 straight up.Btw, it's currently a pick up only (no tables or chairs)
