Went for a special occasion & our server was a young man LJ. First thing entering restaurant, I told him there were 6 of us & he rolled his eyes. The place was almost empty. He took our order writing nothing down and must of come to our table 4-5 times to confirm what we ordered. If only he had written it down.My chopped steak which I’ve eaten there for 40 years was over cooked. Plus two other people who ordered steak was all well done for a rare steak. Plus I believe LJ was drunk or on something because he could not focus or even take a picture with our phone. Ordered Red Velvet cake for dessert, he said there was none. I went up to case where desserts were kept and their were at least 4!!! I spoke to manager, she was very nice, but you need to do something! He either can’t read or write or maybe a drug problem. While we were eating he was sitting down looking like he was about to pass out or go to sleep. This could destroy a great restaurant which I’ve loved for years!

The prices have gone way up! Lunch was $84 for a burrito, 2 orders of nachos and ($8 for) a kids cheeseburger . Definitely NOT worth the cost!!

It was my first time back in, probably 20 years. Thought it was cool that it was still open. The food was okay, nothing that stood out except the green sauce it was awesome. The location serves some Italian, Mexican, and American. The one thing that hasn't changed is the decor, still really low lighting.
I haven’t been here since I was a child. It still has the same vibe it did back then. This place is adorable. It is so Arlington and I’m glad it’s still around. The server was a great guy. He added to the atmosphere by being respectful and friendly.The food is great. I can’t even remember the last time I had a steak that tender. My husband is picky about his burgers and all he could do was talk about how he wished we had burgers this good in Austin.

We read a lot of reviews of folks who absolutely love this place so we figured we should check it out when we were visiting Arlington. Love good down-home comfort food cooking so was expecting something along that line. I have to say the place was definitely retro to the 70s/80s with dim fluorescents, plastic table cloths, and dropped ceiling. No problems with that - that's their thing - being authentic to earlier times. However, the food was not great. It was just kind of average and we were bummed that it wasn't better. Nothing really to complain about. Just not really very good food.
