Good bar b q. The hot mess isn't all that great. Prices to high for the lack of flavor.

It happened, another 5 star review by yours truly. My very first visit and the food was yumm-o. I ordered the rib plate & added marble brisket for $3.00. My sides were beans and cowboy corn. Everything came to about $21 and I had enough for three meals, very generous portions. Now the meat was good yall. Didn't even need the sauce, the brisket melted in my mouth, it was soft. The rub on the ribs chefs kiss. The sauce is a sweeter type which I prefer, wish they gave me 2 containers. The cowboy corn was odd, not unpleasant but certainly different. I've never had corn prepared that way before. The beans were....beans lol. All in all I was very pleased with my food and plan to go back next time I need a fix. Customers service was excellent lovely lady at the front greeted me immediately and Didn't rush me to order. Pop in for a visit Yelpers.

Don't confirm DoorDash orders if you have no food left. They confirmed my order, then were nasty to the driver and told her they were out of pretty much everything. I won't be giving them another chance. Ended up having to cancel and order from somewhere else, and tipping both drivers.

Great BBQ ribs, and Turkey. Chopped beef is becoming my favorite lately. Great for carry outs.

Best stuffed baked potato I've ever eaten. The ribs were really good also. Check it the Sadie.

First time dropping into Jambo's. As someone who eats bbq 3-4 times per week. This place is a hidden gem with even more interesting back story. The restaurant is located in a historic building dating back to the 1930s. Use to cater the mobsters, rum runners, and gangsters back in the day. Aside from that, if brisket and ribs are your thing, I would definitely recommend you try Jambo's!! Meat is soft and tender, no sauce needed but have excellent options if that's your preference. Was too hungry to wait to take a picture of the brisket. I hear the sausage is on point as well!!

I went in 11/17/2021 for lunch the lobby stink i can tell they use dirty mop water to mop! Ordered the "Sadie" but wanted a 2 meat plate but u cant order a 2 meat plate with ribs like thats very odd! I ended up getting the stuffed potato when they brought it out for some strange reason it was cold! Only thing that should be cold at bbq spot is drinks and potato salad now i see why my co workers said stay away from this location! They really should invest in uniforms for their employees dirty jogger shorts and t shirts definitely made my mind up to never visit again!

Driven by this place a million times and had a craving for some bbq so finally made the drive over. Everything was great. Hubs had the chopped brisket and turkey bbq plate. Added fried okra and potato casserole and everything was tasty, moist and well cooked. I had the sliced brisket and burnt ends with bbq beans and potato salad. I will say the ends were a little too much fat for me but the taste of the ones that were meaty was really good. Like candy bacon. Yum. I was surprised however that they didn't include any kind of bread with their plates, no rolls no Texas toast nothing. Need to add some bread for sure. Hubby tried the peach cobbler and said that it was all crust and he only had one peach slice in the whole container so that was not a winner. Will be back but will ask for bread and skip dessert.

I made a pit stop in here at the last minute & I loved my greeting. I was met by a tall slim lady with a ball cap with crocs on and she made my visit pleasant and was very welcoming. I couldn't help but notice how freaking clean this joint was (floor tables, view of kitchen) and complimented her about it. This was my very 1st time at this location and I plan to become a regular patron. I was amazed at the portion of food I received and maybe its because I'm used to the chain portions that teenagers serve. My taste buds rejoiced & did a back flip when I bit into my brisket sandwich. The brisket had a beautiful smoke ring, seasoned well, moist and looked like a sandwich that was for decoration only lol. The rib sandwich was off the freaking chain and I just slobbered thinking about it. All in all between price, cleanliness, portion, and exceptional customer service they get a 10 from me. Sliced Brisket & Rib Sandwich + Mac = $21 It was worth every penny

This place is great, it's a hour round trip for where I live. I went there at the first opening and this is my go too spot for bbq. I go every two weeks on Saturday's. The bbq is the same every time that I have gotten it. Constantly. Only thing I need is a little more seasoning on the meats, that's a personal thing. Great place to check out.

It's kind of crazy that I never knew this place existed..I was on my way home and I saw this eccentric location-saw my people going inside and had to stop! I had the Sadie Potato and it did not disappoint! I also got a pint of peach cobbler that I will try when I get home. It's definitely worth a try.. I plan on coming back to try more items from the menu soon.
