I have been frequenting this restaurant for almost ten years. The establishment is always clean, the atmosphere amiable, and the buffet is consistently very good. I always look forward to the mango pudding. I highly recommend Star India.

Star India is a hidden gem in a plaza close to UTA. They offer a variety of selections on their menu. Vegetarian availabilities also included. This restaurant has been in business for decades and has the same great staff on hand. The meats are numerous with great sauces, and spice levels available. The appetizers and different Naan are great starters to an increasing and memorable India style cuisine. The curry lamb, chicken Tikka Makhni are superb and very flavorful. Try the chai tea as a finisher. Janeep is a great waitress with an unlimited amount of Indian cuisine. You will not be dissapointed.

Wonderful!! Ordered the Channa Masala and I was a little skeptical at the appearance at first, I am more accustomed to seeing more gravy.. but it did not disappoint!! Was honestly one of the best Channa Masalas that ive had. Incredible fresh Naan, chewy moist rice!! Everything packaged efficiently and nothing spilled. Included utensils too! 10/10!

First time trying, would always pass by this place after driving back from UTA and now I got the chance to try it. Atmosphere is very intimate, cozy, somewhat yellow dim lighting, Indian music playing in the back ground with a tv showcasing Bollywood dances. We got the chicken korma, chefs special biryani (medium spicy), the garlic naan, and the kabuli naan.Korma is excellent, smooth rich taste, moist delicious chicken (I think it’s chicken thigh) and comes with a side of plain biryani rice.Chefs special is delicious. It includes goat cubes, shrimp (with tail off), and potatoes and each of those tasted great with the biryani. It’s $3 more than a chicken biryani (cheapest biryani). Plentiful meat (not just plentiful potatoes). Medium spice isn’t too spicy, it does have a little bit of a kick. The naan breads came out thick.Garlic naan tasted great. It was my first time trying the kabuli naan and it was pretty good! It’s made up of cheese and raisins inside and is like the less greasy and savory alternative to garlic naan. Recommend eating it by itself rather than with curry. The raisin doesn’t make the bread too sweet, it’s like it adds a pleasant very subtle sweetness to it.Waitress was very nice. Prices are reasonable. Every dish was less than $15 and there’s enough to take some home to go.

If you're ordering to go be prepared to wait, even though you've ordered ahead and the entire restaurant is completely empty of customers.
