Great experience coming in with a large group. At around 2:30 pm on a Monday it was empty, but they served us very well, putting tables together for us and offering chips and salsa. We didn’t expect the level of attention they gave us for a fast-casual spot. I understand it may be difficult for some to communicate with staff, since they did not seem to speak English, but the food would have been worth it even if we had trouble communicating. The tacos plate was an excellent price, with three (hefty) tacos, rice, and beans for $7.99. We were all satisfied and happy with the affordability as financially-challenged college students. Come for an authentic experience (yes, this means the staff may have trouble communicating and may not be as warm due to language barrier) with great food and great prices! Very quick and efficient service.

This place is nothing Mexican and wants to sell considering that it is Mexican food and it doesn't taste good. This place is therefore dead, not even a fly stops, and Honduras sells those that you know, you don't know, you don't know ?????????

I ordered 10 tacos total and the price was very decent ! They were so nice and the best barbacoa I've had in a while. I have to drive to oak cliff for good tacos and they're more expensive. They need more custos !Vegetarian options: My daughter will not eat meat for sum reason, but they gave us extra salsa, onion and cilantro because they saw that's all she was wanting to eat ?Kid-friendliness: They were so nice to my daughter, they have high chairs & booster seats even tho my lil girl sat with us the whole time

I recently visited Taco Rico, excited to try their tacos, but left deeply disappointed. The most striking issue was the size of the tacos - they were unexpectedly mini, resembling a child's portion rather than an adult meal. This was surprising and quite unsatisfying. The language barrier added to the frustration. The staff's inability to communicate in English made it challenging to place an order or inquire about menu items. While I appreciate cultural diversity, effective communication in customer service is essential, especially in a diverse community.Additionally, my order was incorrect. Despite attempting to clearly convey what I wanted, the language barrier possibly contributed to this mix-up. Receiving the wrong food only compounded the disappointment of the small portions. In summary, my experience at Taco Rico was far from what I had hoped. From mini-sized tacos to communication issues and a wrong order, it was a series of letdowns. I hope this feedback is seen as constructive and leads to improvements for future customers

Was looking forward to trying their pupusas here during my lunch break. Took over 20 minutes just to give me 3 pupusas and I had to go up to the counter to ask about my order. The inside of the restaurant feels hot with poor ventilation. Was not impressed and not planning to come back.

If you ask for hand made tortillas they will make them fresh for you for an extra .50 a taco! So WORTH the wait and the extra .50!SO delicious on a fresh tortilla night and day! The veggie taco is a go-to with onions, cilantro, beans, tomatoes, and avocado -YUM!They dont have a wait much like 5-10min maybe. BUT if they do by the time you read this review just know they deserve a 30+ min wait time to even order!! Its that good.I dont know about their American items on the menu they just need to focus on Mexican food because they do it well if you ask for the fresh tortillas wow wow wow!I know someone posted citing high prices...um $2.50 for a stuffed taco is not high at all....I would question what quality you're getting cheaper than that. I mean the people have to make a living. YEESH! Cook your own food if you're going to complain.5 stars, great service, and reasonable prices for high-quality tacos!

This place was great, I loved the service and the wait times. I ordered a al pastor burrito with a horchata and it came out in under 5 minutes. Sadly, there was no line (the reason why I say 'sadly' is because this place deserves a full 20 minute line), but I grabbed my food off the counter and ate it out home. I ordered the grande version of the burrito and it included sour cream on the side and both type of sauces (I recommend the green sauce, be careful it is hot!) It was the perfect temperature, and the horchata was sweet and had a hint of dairy, which I personally love. I finished my burrito so quickly that I reached for the burrito until I realized I finished it! This place is a 9.6/10
