A hidden gem in Arlington! We were staying at Fort Worth for a conference and were looking for Filipino restaurants around the area. Though this was 20+ mins away from

Best Filipino Cebuano seafood you can find. Vilma and May Ann are the best. Vilma is a Cebuano where she does most of the cooking while May Ann is the server and also do the cooking. The service in here is slow, Vilma says they cook their food from scratch and usually most of the customers would call ahead to order and pick it up at the restaurant. May Ann is doing her best but sometimes when you need something it's very hard for her to reach out. The location of this restaurant also leaves alot of the customers confused because they have no signpost, entrance isn't clear, and the setup of place is in the hotel's cafeteria. If you are looking for this place, go inside the hotel entrance, then on the left you will see a door with a downstairs, head inside, and you'll find yourself in a room that seems to be the hotel's cafeteria. I remember the restaurant used to be located in Ben Thanh Plaza and now they rebrand the restaurant as "Kan'in" as stated in their menu. Both also told us that during the weekend, they would host a live band and use the R'lounge space in the hotel. It is also very busy during weekends. The Egg Rolls is a pass for me, the wrap was burnt, and it was more wrap, and less meat (5/10). The Pork BBQ was a nah for me, the sauce wasn't good and the meat was kind of hard to chew on (4/10). The Grilled Mackerel was spot on, the way this fish was grilled left it a juicy taste (10/10). The Sisig was a meh for me, I think it was a Cebuano version of Sisig but unlike Kapamgpangan Sisig they taste otherwise (6/10). The Grilled Squid wasn't exactly quite it, I think the sauce needed some more seasoning, the sauce was drowning the squid, and the tentacles is the only best part of this meal (8/10). Their Atchara was a fail for me, they made it too sweet (3/10). The Buko Milk Juice was alright, I wasn't fan of those ice cubes confusing them as the jelly but I also think it was too sweet (5/10). The Bibingka was awful, not sure why the top is burnt and it was dry, the texture wasn't pleasing and I am also not a fan of the coconut grating they used on the top (4/10). The Puto was the best, it was fluffy and moist at serve but it's wasn't good the next day (8/10). The Kuchinta was good but again, not fan of the coconut grating they're using, it was still good the next day (9/10).

this place is in a motel lobby, no sign out front with the name and is not in a strip center!! we went for sunday brunch and after making three loops around the block due to no name we went inside just to verify address, there were no other people inside the place and it is more set up as a bar for the evenings for the low income motel folks.... this is NOT a place to go with all the other food choices in this cuisine choice, maybe the old location was better???

It's not Tikim 101 anymore it's "Kanin". I have been there 2x already and it was a delicious and fun place to have dinner and be entertained, too. The owner can sing. It is a slow service but it's worth the wait. I recommend ordering in advance. They have karaoke and customers can go on stage and sing. They have a DJ and when he played Todo Todo, the ladies started line dancing. Awesome place for getting together with friends.

A little slow but it was good food in the end. Worth the wait, but it is inside the hotel so there is no signs outside to location.

This restaurant is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. when I feel like having a good meal, this restaurant comes instantly to my mind. fresh and food and a large list of dishes.great staff, and good atmosphere. In addition to that, the pay is modest. I tell about this place with no hesitation.

I was very excited to try their buffet. I messaged them asking if they were having buffet on the weekend and verified the time they opened. We arrived just after 11am on Saturday. The lights were off and it looked closed. A gentleman came out from the back so we asked him if they were opening for the buffet and he said yes and to just walk around the mall area for a little while. We went to the grocery store and came back later. At 11:45 the lights were still off and no sign of food or activity. Our daughter was really hungry so we had no choice but to go somewhere else to eat. I don’t know what time we should have come for food but I would have thought 45 minutes past open would have been enough. I’m very disappointed.

We waited from opening at 11am to 11:45 and there was still no food or signs that the food would be out any time soon. Just after 11 we asked the gentleman that came out from the back if they were doing buffet today and he said yes, just walk around for a little while. We waited as long as we could, about 45 minutes but the lights were still off and no food in sight. Our 5 year old was getting really hungry so we had to eat somewhere else. I was looking forward to eating here and was really disappointed. I'm writing this review for anyone else that wants to try. Maybe go at least an hour or longer after their opening time. Had we seen any reviews that gave that advice, we could have prepared better.

This Filipino restaurant has amazing Filipino food. Their lumpia and pancit is authentic. And their buffets are pricey but delicious. The staff are friendly . Although it's not a restaurant, it's one of the vendors in the food court at Ben Thanh plaza in Arlington. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for island food
