There doesn’t seem to be Nigerian Restaurants in Fort Worth, so I poured over reviews at different spots in the Arlington area and settled on this place. My son is 7 and he’s very picky so I had super low expectations for him to like anything. He insisted on trying goat. I got Egusi with beef and Iyan. Jollof, plantain, chicken wing, and fish. I also got Zobo and Palm Wine.Wow! This is my first time trying Nigerian food so I don’t have anything to compare this to. Everything has a little kick to it but not so spicy it’s unenjoyable. My son loved the goat so much, I only got a tiny bit of one piece (only came with two pieces). The Egusi is good, the flavors are good. My only complaint is that maybe the goat and beef could’ve been just a tiny bit more tender. Not a fan of the fish. It was dry and probably old, flavorless. She did ask if I wanted sauce but I declined, so this could be my fault ??‍♀️Some commented about cigarette tasting Jollof. Okay, it does have that smell and flavor. However, I’m pretty sure it’s a spice and/or the method in which the rice is cooked. Regardless, it’s good. It reminds me of our Jambalaya (minus the smoke taste). I’ve had better plantain but it wasn’t bad, just not fresh. I probably should’ve warned them. The Zobo has the most odd combination of flavors and at first my tastebuds were at war with each other trying to decide if this is good. I’ve made the executive decision that it is really good, different for sure, but it works. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the palm wine. It taste like apple cider vinegar and rice vinegar and other vinegars. The 30 min drive was worth it. The fact that my son ate and got full makes me happy because he literally doesn’t like anything. Now I gotta learn how to cook Nigerian food for him. Who wants to teach me? lol

This is my 2nd time going to this restaurant. I always feel like they have a slight attitude when asking for what I want to eat. I wanted the fufu and egusi but I'm a novice so I asked questions. I received a hard as a rock piece of chicken and a piece of fish.

The jollof has great flavor but the platter I received was an overwhelming amount of rice with 3 small piece of meat. One of those pieces was fat.

Food was not the best and even worse it turned my stomach for days, had to go see my doctor. Minor food poisoning.

Food is okay, however it has given me food poisoning twice and my wife food poisoning once. I don't understand what is going on in their kitchen or hygiene but will never be eating here again.

DOOOOO NOTTTT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!The service and staff are terrible and the food tastes old. You can 10000% tell that what you are receiving isn’t fresh and has been cooked several days/weeks prior and is just being rewarmed. I just spent the last 9 hours with a sour stomach and uncontrollable vomiting and I’m almost for certain I have food poisoning! You can get much better African food at this price point and not have to deal with being sick or being served old food!

This is the nicest staff I have ever experienced in an African restaurant. The food was delicious! I had the Abula combo and it was my first time trying the dish. Soooo good. The beef and tendon were my favorite protein but I also tried the shaki and ponmo, both were good as well. I have had many less than friendly experiences at other shops in DFW. The service here is refreshing. I will drive the distance for this place. I wish them a ton of business! Great gem in Arlington.

This is the first African restaurant that actually separates the parts of the cow and I absolutely love them for this! I hate when most places throw in whatever parts of the meat they want. This place gives you the option: They are super friendly and welcoming. I live in Forney but I’ll definitely drive an hour to have their delicious food!

Bad customer service, I have been coming here for a year , two times a week. Today a young guy completely screwed my order up, they didn’t have bitter leaf, (even though still had a sign up) all he did was grin when I kept asking that he didn’t give me all my food. I’m done, I’ll never go again, the food portions are small, pricey and lately have been bland! Most of the customers that come thru there just stare at you and look at you crazy…#annoying??

I’ve been coming here for the fufu and egusi for the past two years, and it’s still my favorite. Of all the places I’ve tried, this is the one i like the best! The service is also very good, the nice man who works behind the counter is always friendly.
