1883 Cafe and Bakery offers an unforgettable dining experience with its delectable dishes and cozy ambiance. The migas are a savory delight, while the avocado toast is a modern classic elevated to perfection. Don't miss out on their indulgent dirty chai lattes, a warm hug in a cup. With impeccable service and attention to detail, 1883 Cafe and Bakery sets the standard for excellence.

Greg and the other batista are awesome. Sorry I forgot the lady's name. I haven't been in year and so much has changes but the service is still top notch and the cinnamon rolls are elite.

A little disappointing as very ordinary given its history.

Obsessed. I came here every single day I was in Austin. The coffee is amazing, and the cafe is beautiful. The building was built in 1886, so it's worth a walk through if you love old buildings.

I went by to get a mini cake, and I walked out with three mini cakes, two muffins, and an almond croissant. They were all amazing. The muffins were the best gluten free baked goods I’ve ever had. They were 2 minutes from closing and still offered me the full kitchen if I’d wanted. Great service!Dietary restrictions: Ask about the gluten free options.

Spices chicken sandwich is fire as well as the croquet madam alongside the amazing negroni’s. Fantastic brunch spot feels like you’re in NYC.

What a treat for us as this was only a five minute walk, IF THAT, from our hotel. I originally pointed out this building because it was beautiful, unbeknownst that this was where we would be dining. When you walk in it is even prettier than it's exterior! The cafe sells baked goods as well as a breakfast menu. The first day we came here we got a latte, a chai tea latte, the almond croissant, the orange and cranberry scone, the Austin American breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon and the Brazos Huevos Rancheros. The latte was mediocre but the chai tea latte was one of the best I had ever had (hence us returning the next day). The orange cranberry scone was sweet but also had the tartiness of the cranberry - cooked very nicely too! The almond croissant was good. I felt it could've been baked better but that's me being spoiled with eating Parisian croissants often. We found the American Breakfast to be quite bland so I ended up sharing my dish with my husband. The Huevos Rancheros was so good. I never thought I would want such a hearty plate for breakfast but it was unreal! The eggs were the perfect amount of dippy, the torta was thin and had a perfect crunch, the potatoes underneath cooked so tenderly and the bean and meat spread was a bit spicy but the avocado and egg with tortilla helped minimize that (I can't handle spice so I am sure it is perfect for everyone else!) I actually thought the level of spice was great as everything balanced each other out.I would totally recommend this spot for a bite to eat specially the Huevos Rancheros, the baked good and the chai tea latte! The line may look long but it moves surprisingly fast :)
