First time we went I ordered Biscuits and gravy. They were fantastic. Probably the best I’ve ever had. 2nd time I went there I ordered biscuits and gravy again. This time the biscuits were rock hard. Literally un-eatable.The waitress quickly took them away and brought me another portion that were perfect. The manager also came over to our table and offered to remove the price of the biscuits from my bill.So I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars though I would suggest the manager/owner speak with their cook(s) about serving food they obviously know is not up to par. One lazy cook can really hurt an otherwise excellent restaurant’s reputation.

We walked in 45 mins before they closed and was immediately reminded that they closed in 45 mins. Ok…. lol….. my chicken and waffles was trash, the waffle was cold, the chicken was frozen I could tell because it had a pink tint to it. If you’re going to serve me frozen chicken don’t charge me $20 for the plate thank you. Our group was all out on one check without letting us know that they refuse to split checks for parties over 3. Like what? So a $250 bill got put on one person with everyone else scrambling to figure out how to pay that person. Just dumb. Oh and my milkshake was over $8 ? it was the highlight of my meal but not a $8 highlight.

Went for my birthday, and it didn't really meet expectations. The server was not attentive, and we had another server come check on us until he made his rounds as we were finishing. The waffle wasn't a great texture since it was cool. The chicken was ok and at least that was hot, although pretty bready. My friend said her food was mid, but it was just a breakfast platter. There was also a dog yelping next to us, so that was...entertaining, I suppose. The mimosa I got tasted more like mineral water with the lightest hint of orange. Overall, for the recommendations that people gave me, it was the most lackluster birthday brunch I've ever had. It wasn't even full for a Sunday morning. What gives?

This place was kind of “mid.” We went on a Sunday around 12:30 and the food was pretty cool to the touch when it got to us, and it wasn’t busy (meaning that there were 3 or so booths free). We got the sweet potato hash- good flavor, not enough crispiness on the sweet potatoes, but portion size was goodAnd we also got, fried chicken and waffles- undercooked waffles (think soft waffles) and the chicken had a heavy breading to chicken ratio. Finally, we got two milkshakes, those were pretty good. Mine was the strawberry milkshake and it was super tasty, with made in house strawberry cake bites in there with bits of strawberry preserves, the shake consistency was a little on the milkier side, but again, the flavor HIT THE SPOT. Def made the visit worth it.

Such friendly and fun atmosphere. The food is incredible, get the burrata to start! Chicken and waffles were the best sweet to savory ratio. AND YOU HAVE TO END WITH THE BANNAS & BROWN SUGAR MILKSHAKE!

I had a to go order that I placed online, I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of French fries. The chicken was undercooked and nasty. The waffle was cold and the fries were warm. I called the restaurant multiple times to get a refund and no one never answered the phone . It's safe to say I will never order from this place again.

Visiting from out of town and heard good things about Diner 24 from colleagues who went to college here in Austin.Could not have been more disappointed in the food. I ordered the waffle combo and my brother ordered the chicken and waffles and on both orders the waffles were putrid. Everyone at our table tried a bite and we’re in agreement. Unsure if they were using out of date ingredients or unclean kitchen practices but the waffles were gross. We addressed our concerns with the waiter and was very disappointed to see our check. Basically paid 15.95 for 2 pieces of bacon and scrambled eggs as the waffles were uneatable.
