Super humid in the theater

imagine paying $104 for 1 personal sized pizza, 2 chicken strip meals, 3 doctor peppers, and 3 side of ranch. Basically spent almost $200 to go see Starwars episode 1 for 3 people. This is why i dont go to movies anymore. I remember going to the theater almost every 2-3 weeks depending on what movies were out. this was the first movie i went to this year. prolly the last. ALL HAIL NETFLIX.

Gift card brought us in for our second visit.Parking wasn't ideal. The spot was 80 yards or so from the entrance. Busy.Movie was super loud. So loud had to tear up some napkins for ear plugs.Chicken wings were okay. Not the worst, not the best. It probably includes dipping sauce but for whatever reason, didn't accompany. Could have asked for it, but that would have been another slip of paper to jot down the request. Supposed I should of considering the total ticket was 17 dollars and change, tax and mandatory gratuity included. This comes to 8 wings at $2.23 each. ¡Ay!Dirty plate sat there the entire movie. On the card receipt, in the area for "tip," I wanted to write "Pre-bus." The lady next to me ordered a salad and finished it before the movie even started. The Blue Cheese was intoxicating, unappealing. To each their own. Will be back, but in no rush. Thanks for the service!!

I love Alamo but not this location. The times I've been here, the seats don't recline - that's fine, but also the staff forgets drink orders, they forget the sauce I ordered (but they never forget to charge me the extra dollar), and they never forget to give themselves an 18% tip on top of charging roughly 13 dollars for a tub of popcorn. It's okay to charge premium prices for a premium experience but this place charges high for nothing special.

They would get a higher rating if they didn't FORCE you to tip by automatically charging you a tip. It also caused me to tip smaller. If you force me, you get what you asked for and not my usual 20%. Why don't you pay them more, raise prices to fit, and take the stress off your customer regarding tipping. Tipping has gotten out of hand and I won't go back because of that.

Alamo is my favorite local chain. Great beer selection for the movies. I love not having to get up during the movie for refills and miss something. Also, Alamo holds lots of great events and shows classic movies. This is a good location with a nice bar but I don't like the seats as much as some of the other locations. Though, the viewing angle is often better.

Would recommend bringing your own food at this point or eat before/after the film. The 18% is a way of compensating for their low wage or lost revenue during this period of inflation.

Great atmosphere, movies and delicious food! If you haven’t been yet, what are you waiting for?

How the mighty have fallen. 2 mediocre burgers and side salads with our popcorn cost $69.88 after the REQUIRED 18% “service” fee. What incentive does a server have if I’m required to tip at a level they dictate? But even if I tip at 18%, over $55 for two burgers and popcorn???Alamo used to be a great place in Austin that was unique to Austin.Never again.

the food has gone down in the last couple of years.

Go on Tuesday. Tipping is now required.
