If you’re visiting Austin and looking for great BBQ, go here! No 3 hour waits, and running out of food at the “name brand” high rated places. The bartenders were great! Over 80 craft beers to choose from and some of the best ribs I’ve ever had! Right on Rainey street.

Banger’s is an awesome spot to try beers from their large selection and grab a bite to eat. The kielbasa and burger we had was delicious. I tried a special eclipse brew called Path of Totality, a black IPA made by Jester King Brewery that was excellent. They have a lot of outdoor picnic style benches with umbrellas for shade and some indoor seating as well. You order through a QR code on the table - one thing to note is to make sure you stay near the same spot/code that you ordered from or the servers won’t be able to find you.

Cool concept, but app based service was a failure. My initial order did not go through because of a glitch with Google Pay. I asked if that order would be canceled and was told yes. I was double charged. Then I waited 1.5 hours for my second order. My friends were done eating in 45 minutes. I asked twice what was going on. The first time I was told it was coming. The second time they admitted the order never went through! Pulled pork was overcooked in sauce to the point it was mushy. Slaw was unique and amazing.

Unfortunate experience here tonight. We used to come here all the time and it’s definitely gone down hill with the rest of Rainey:They were out of 2/3 things we wanted to order, when we got our food we realized it wouldn’t be enough for my husband, so we ordered more - and then 45 minutes later we were still waiting. The server seemed to forget that we ordered more food, and when she finally came to check on us and we told her we were still waiting on my husbands meal, she went to the kitchen to check on it and said it would be another 8 minutes. 10 minutes passed and so she told us they would take half off of that one item, another 5 minutes or so passed and she offered a free dessert but at this point we were so over it and just asked for the food to go. Another 5 minutes and she said “sorry I don’t think it’s going to be ready “in time”. In time for what? We got there at 8, spent an hour and 50 minutes there. We waited around 45 minutes for nothing and all we got out of it was not paying for the food we didn’t get to begin with.
