Atmosphere was great! The steak was great! Pasta was not as expected, too thin. We didn’t have space for dessert, but would love to come back and try their torched marshmallow chocolate cake.

Our waitress was clearly in a rush. I hate being rushed and I'm usually pretty chill about it but after putting in our drinks we asked for a second to look at the menu and she just kept reappearing every 2 minutes. Drinks finally came, wine glasses have hideous ‘carve' logos on them btw. It's giving “upscale” chili's or BJ's which is fine, if that's what's you're into. Actually, no. I'm afraid “upscale” is a reach. Took one sip of the blueberry mojito and it was way too sweet even for a mojito which I'm well aware is a sweet drink, but I was willing to bear through it because I hate being difficult. Accidentally dropped my glass after the one sip and the ENTIRE restaurant gasped in utter shock and all turned to stare. Says a lot about the people who come here and really set the bad vibe. I was very embarrassed and super apologetic, but the staff was clearly resentful of my mistake. How dare I accidentally spill a drink? They made an even bigger deal out of it than it was by letting out exaggerated sighs, huffing and puffing like I had it out for them or something. I already felt humiliated enough, and to make matters worse, the drink spilled all over my purse and one staff member picked it up and plopped it onto the table, causing my wet bag to splash all over my dress. I'm giving her the benefit the doubt that she didn't notice because she did not apologize. I fled the restaurant leaving my poor boyfriend to pay for the drinks and calamari we ordered (ps gross). I assumed he would be right behind me, but they took 15 minutes to close out the tab. The more I think about this experience the more I realize how poorly we were treated as guests in this restaurant and how this was clearly just a transactional thing for the staff. I get it. Work sucks. I've been in customer service my whole life! But I would never have rushed anyone or made someone feel bad for a simple accident to a point where they felt they needed to leave to avoid further embarrassment. NEVER AGAIN :)

Could not have asked for a better experience to celebrate a milestone birthday. The staff was so accommodating, the pocket dining rooms on the enclosed patio are so clever, it felt like upscale private dining. The redfish was DELICIOUS. Jordan was a great server, she struck the right balance between attentive and giving us privacy. WILL BE BACK!!! ♥️♥️

Love Carve for our special occasions and introducing new people to it. Celebrated my husbands birthday last night, Kara, the manager greeted us as soon as we were seated and wished my husband a happy birthday. She came by twice more and ensured our night was going well. Grace our server was excellent, suggested a new wine to my husband and he loved it. Food was phenomenal as always, I just love my meatloaf cupcakes, and the corn side dish. So it was a great night thanks to Kara & Grace and the wonderful food. Will be back next month when we bring my father in law from California here. Keep up the good work and see you next month

3.5/5 stars ⭐️- The drinks were good, the food was bland, but the price point was good for the value. We‘ll return for drinks and snacks. The gold mint: good but a bit too sweetSmoky wild fashioned: very good, the smoky flavor is so goodSignature sorbet sour: it was very goodBig belly burger: it was ok, it could’ve used more seasoning and it was saggy with all the toppingsChicken & waffles: the chicken was crispy but it could’ve used more seasoning. The waffle was saggy.

Pretty good. Red fish and ribs were very good, but the prime rib was dry. Need a better selection of draft brews too. Loaded baked potatoe was very good too. Kids loved the Mac n cheese. Service was good and the patio nice. Need coloring stuff for the little

Booked a reservation because I thought it couldn't disappoint well I was wrong. Once we were sat at our table it took 15 min for our waitress to come to the table with water, She then left for another 20 min and came back just in time to get our orders for appetizers. It took 15 min for them to arrive to the table, and then another 20 for her to come back to take our main order. At this point the restaurant was nearly empty and it took an additional 30min for food to come out. I ordered the burger and with my first bite I was greeted with a bone chunk in the patty. Safe to say I want a refund after all this. When I'm in Austin again I definitely won't be coming back.

Very classy but casual, the food was amazing everything we ordered was perfection. Our waiter was funny and recommended great options. Looking forward

One of our favorite go-to restaurants in Austin. Food is consistently good. Specialty cocktails are definitely fun to try. Our waiter, Edwin, was excellent. Highly recommend if you're looking for a yummy lunch or dinner. Kid friendly.

First time eating at CARVE. I selected the tomahawk chicken fried pork chop, which covered most of a large plate. The issue was that the pork chop was so thin that when it was cooked, little moisture was left in the meat. Probably should have had a steak.

We planned a dinner at Carve (central Austin), the meal was very good, pricey but good. I ordered a bone-in rib eye ($69). I could not eat it all and had the leftover packed to take home. The next day, I opened my leftover for lunch and discovered the bone from my bone-in rib eye had been removed from my leftover. There was a fair amount of meat on the bone, and I have a dog that would have loved that wonderful bone. I called and spoke with management, who stated the servers were not instructed to remove the bone prior to packing leftovers. He offered to send a gift card, which I accepted. It was never sent. This is so disappointing. Will not go back.

Superb. The popovers- 100%. The smoked Caesar salad -100%. The tequila lime salad - 89%. The burgundy sautéed mushrooms - 101, yes, 101%. Those pork belly medallions wrapped in bacon will take you to another plane of existence. The banana pudding dessert is imperative. Great and I mean, GREAT service.

Beautiful restaurant. The filet and veggies were 10/10. Everything else was subpar. We had the salmon cakes, shrimp, mac and cheese, cherry dessert, a few cocktails, and a dessert wine.

Carve is one of my favorite restaurants, and I will continue to frequent it, but last night's steak was not great. The ribeye was tough and grisly and beyond the medium rare I ordered. Generally, the redfish is one of the best dishes in town, and I love that pork chop except for the odd flavor in the gravy. Wish I could get regular gravy with it. My date last week had the salmon and she raved over it.
