This is definitely one of my favorite fried chicken chains and one of the last ones in Austin. I love the spicy chicken here, I love the spice and their batter that coats the chicken skin, it's crispy and delicious. If I had gravy to dip it, it would probably be better than maybe chicken joy IMO. NGL, this location is not the best but the Mgr who runs the store is such a nice guy to all the come in, it really is a blessing to see him work. Their prices are very good here and the quality is great. I'm not big on the sides other than the honey biscuits but they are awesome when u add some extra honey on them. I definitely recommend Churches ?

Ordered the 6 piece chicken meal ($17.99) + 6 piece biscuits (+6.99) through DoorDash. Overall it was pretty good, but the biscuit size/count was disappointing. I only got 5 of the 6 biscuit and 3 were very tiny. Just pretty pricey for how small they actually were.
Churches was our go-to fried chicken place, and I had given it five stars a few years ago. However, it seems that they have changed hands, and the new management is running it into the ground. We have had three bad experiences in a row.The first time, they packed less pieces in a family pack. The next time, they packed a few wings to make up for the legs and thighs which i guess they had run out. And last week, they packed us bland legs and thighs instead of the spicy ones we ordered, and they threw some spice sauce in the bag. It is difficult to check the order because it is a drive-thru. We promised never to go back.
