Food was great and service was good on a Saturday night (though a tad slow) but honestly, $14 for 3" of tres leches cake? The audacity really.

The server Patrick was extremely rude and should be fired. No one enjoyed his overt hostility. We regret not requesting a different server.

Food and service were wonderful. Every time I have eaten there, my meal has been sabroso!

I can't believe it's taken me 10 years to finally visit this much raved about restaurant -- in my defense, I had a lot going on. In any event, I plan to rectify my absence a lot more in the future. This dining experience is every bit worth the hype, and then some. Gorgeous surroundings (I would eat in the atrium/bar every time if possible), delicious food and drinks (the ceviche and carne asada were standouts) and service were all on point, as can be expected from a restaurant that has stood the test of time.

Easily a new favorite with a beautiful ambiance. The queso fundido is fantastic (here and gabrielas might have some of the best). The MIXIOTE lamb was huge, but basically just melts off the bone. Heavily sauced, so would get it with less next time, but it was an amazing dish. The margaritas were also well made. There was struggle to understand the differences in the pescado dishes, but ultimately went with the Mojo de ajo and was completely impressed. Immensely flavorful and well made.Went again and got both the enchiladas Pato and the pescado zarandeado... They said the pescado wouldn't be spicy but I found it to be incredibly hot. I think it was chipotle that was put on their brussel sprouts. When I could not eat it, they brought out the mojo de Ajo which was very flavorless in comparison to the last time I had bought it. The duck enchiladas were very good however.

WAO !! What an experience. They have great vegan/vegetarian option. Everything tasted phenomenal. The star of my dinner was dessert #TresLeche. We end up eating three of it. We will definitely visit this restaurant whenever we are in town!

An Austin staple! Always good and always delicious! This time I visited for happy hour with friends. The drinks and appetizers are always flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. We arrived right when it opened at 5pm and there was a line. The restaurant was filled at opening and that's how you know it's good.

Fonda San Miguel is one of my go-to restaurants to take out of town guests to show off the beautiful ambiance, great service, and delicious food. Amazing plant based/vegan menu!!!! I think my favorites are the vegan enchiladas, but the vegan cauliflower tacos are delicious too. Don't skip the drinks-they are all wonderful! It's not inexpensive, but worth it!! Be sure to make a reservation'

It doesn’t get any better than this. Nothing here is bad. Close your eyes and order. You’ll love everything.Happy hours excellent so many good app choices.I recommend the crêpe dessert and the café to end your night.Unfortunately, it’s not as big as it used to be pretty sad about that. Fonda San Miguel if you actually read these, please make your crêpe dessert back to its original size.
