This was our first time visiting. The food was really good (Except for the portion is on the smaller side). But our waiter seemed like he was in a hurry, he took my husband’s plate while he was still eating his fries, and brought the check directly instead of asking if we wanted dessert. Other than that everything was great, will come back again.

This is a locally owned and operated restaurant. Great atmosphere. Lights are low but well lit at your table. All staff were welcoming and professional. We even had the manager or owner stop at our table to check on us.Our waitress was excellent. She showed no signs of disappointment when we both ordered water instead of an expensive drink. She knew the specials and the contents of the menu. Very patient while we took our time with the menu.Food was outstanding. Crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, grilled shrimp and the crab stuffed salmon for our main dishes. Full of flavor and with the salmon you could taste the crab.If we're in town again, this will likely be a repeat visit for us.Google will not let me give this 7 out of 5 stars. Great establishment.

We went to Fredas In person not long ago and it was a great experience delicious food at a reasonable price. However going back again the prices had skyrocketed and we paid $50 for two crab leg clusters and $50 for the ribeye uncooked and fatty

The only seafood that was decent was raw oysters but even those were tasteless have this place two tries over priced.terrible seafood gumbo is ok deserts are good.seems like a steak house decided to serve fish not seafood.300 down the drain McDonald's is right down the street better off getting a fish sandwich

It's a Cajun fish house, think of a mom and pop version of Pappadeux's.Lovely Gumbo, but if I have one knock it's that the chefs never saw a heavy cream sauce they didn't like. Pappadeux is slightly less heavy handed with rich sauces. On the other hand, that's why my son likes the place so much. Still very good, been in Austin for years and years, bit tucked away in a strip of hotels but worth the visit.Vegetarian options: Little light on those, if you don't eat fish don't go here.

Good service and good food. The inside was set up nicely but was a little too dark for me.

It was a nice darker kind of lighting like a quaint kind of feel. Good place to go on a date or a family dinner.

Great experience. From the greeting to being served by Jaycee. She was right on top of things. Explained the special which was Swordfish with crab meat topping. My wife ordered it and I had a taste. I had the shrimp and fish etufea (can’t spell it).Delicious! Just had a great experience there.Jaycee was the best served, pleasant and positive. Thank you Fredas.
