The food is amazing! Or let’s say everything here is amazing here in Freddo's! The coffee is high quality. I’ve been coming here since late 2022 and always try different things (pretty much everything on the menu by now) Great atmosphere and study/work place! It’s rare to see a café place with two-stories! This place used to be the Wells Fargo bank like 20 years ago lol and my dad was one of the managers here when it was a bank back in the 2000's!

Amazing vibe here. It looked like an old house repurposed into a coffee shop, cafe, bar hybrid. I sat outside in the

The cleanliness of the space is lacking a lot. Stained couches, dusty floors and tables. Antique is different than old or broken. I would not recommend or go back.Service was great, food was good.

Like the vibe; very cozy, very Austin. And a damn good cup of coffee.

I was very excited to have a neighborhood patio with food and drinks so close to my new apartment. To my disappointment the employee working the counter last Monday evening was very rude to folks for no apparent reason, other than it was a semi busy night which to most of us in the service industry translates to a good thing ($$). The nice gentleman that ordered ahead of us politely asked the bartender “Hello, how are you doing?”. To my surprise the bartender skipped right past the pleasantries with a straight face replying; “what can I get you?”. My transaction was no better. I thanked him and received the same blank stare. I begrudgingly tipped the feathered hat bartender 25% because I can’t bring myself to leave less. This town is filled with atmospheric patios and restaurants to boot. I would rather spend my money where my business is appreciated. Bummer.

First time hearing to Freddo, and it was awesome. The sandwich was more than enough for two people to share, and the low price was incredible. The outdoor seating was beautiful in the sun. Parking was a little tough to find, considering its central location at a major crossroads, but I was able to grab a spot just in time. Highly recommend checking it out!

I am just so happy to see this beautiful, old house converted from a sad bank to this lovely coffee shop. It’s exceptionally dog-friendly, the wifi is great, seating upstairs and downstairs in addition to outside means you always have a place, they serve a cookie with your latte, they have some of the best happy hour prices in town, and staff is so friendly. I hope they stay in business and become a longtime Austin staple. I am already a ghost haunting this place frequently. Please only ever succeed!

First time here and so happy! The renovated Victorian home is stunning, the outdoor patio is large with shade and sun, the food portions were huge for the price, the service was wonderful and I met both owners who were so kind and helpful.

Lovely setting, questionable service. We visited Thursday evening for drinks and it was a comedy of errors:1) The menu hadn't been updated in a while so our first few choices of beers and wine weren't available.2) They recommended me a beer that turned out to not be available.3) They couldn't open the wine bottle they suggested because they lost the bottle opener(?)It took us 5+ minutes to simply get 2 drinks at an empty bar.On the flipside, the house and patio are gorgeous. We might visit again at some point to see if service gets better because this spot has a lot of potential.

my friends and I love this place. but we ALWAYS complain about the channel the music is on.... its really hard to focus on our work with the loud music and the channel its on, its like 2010's coffee house and its really annoying. everything else is great though. i feel like people would come here a lot more often if they even just changed the music. try pandora or spotify or SOMETHING other than 2010's coffee house i beg of you !

So guys, are we gonna talk about what happened to me at your little restaurant on Monday May 9th 22 or is this a subject certain people still want to avoid? You do realize I could have called the police and the t. A. B. C. And filed a report.

If you want a cozy place to study/work/read, this is the place for you!! It can be a little hard to find a table on popular days (this place is a crowd pleaser), but it is one of my favorite places in Austin to spend hours working or with friends. Also, the patio and the prices are unmatched ($2.50 glasses of house wine everyday!!!). This is one of my go-to places that never fails to win me over, and I bring people here every chance I get. It's also close to the SoCo shops, so very easy to begin or end your day at Freddo. Special shoutout to Jamal, his energy and service put my most recent visit over the top! Every Austin local should check this place out!
