Miss the host, music director & icon Bobby Fluentas who 1st welcomed me to Gueros & is called the Mayor of Congress Avenue. He started the outdoor music scene at Gueros, put it on the map, he is a legend & welcomed everyone with open arms. The food needs to level up big time!

Very crowded busy local Hotspot. Even with wall to wall people the staff provides excellent service and the food is to notch, always prepared fresh. The frozen margaritas with fresh mango topper is a personal favorite! Queso is amazing.Parking: It's a tight fit but we'll worth the effortWheelchair accessibility: Three parking spots, full accessibility but the place is often wall to wall people.

Place is cute. But food is pretty bad and not worth your money. The salsa is good but you really can’t mess that up. Don’t order the margs. They taste pretty cheap and are just bad. If you get a drink get the mojito… it’s not good but it’s a little better than the marg.

Save your money... I just called trying to speak to a manager to get my order fixed and they passed me around multiple times then hung up on me. I ate here Saturday night with a friend, the server took over 30 minutes to take our order, when he finally did he got my taco order wrong. I told him to just fix the check, he did not. I called the next day and they hung up on me. The tacos I did get were flavorless, brown/gray part of fish and cold. Wish I could review the chicken but I never did receive but I paid for it all :)

Guero’s is not a bad restaurant. It’s in a great location and it’s a lot of fun! This review is comparing its food today with the quality of years ago. It’s just not as good as it once was. Some of the food tastes generic, like something I could buy at the store. Like I said, it’s not terrible but it doesn’t shine. There are better places for Tex-Mex or Mexican food.

They make some good tacos here but the price for tacos is really expensive. Mostly I guess you are just paying for the nice ambiance and cool vibe here. Parking seems to always be a challenge here so be prepared to deal with that issue. Service here ranges from indifferent to decent but rarely fantastic. There is no shortage of taco joints in Austin so for whatever reason this one seems to be the most trendy but you can get as good or better tacos at plenty of other Tex-Mex joints for far cheaper. If you just want the cool vibe and don't mind selling your kidney for some tacos then certainly continue to enjoy the experience of Guero's Taco Bar.
