I cannot stress enough the enjoyment i get out of eating here. It reminds me of the northeast like Maine. Clean lobster and cold beer.
I was so excited to try this place, last time I had it was during COVID and got it “to go” so it wasn’t quite the same. My husband and I came here for the happy hour, 50% off cocktails and discounted small bites. We decided to sit inside, bad choice because it’s very quiet and underwhelming, boring music, all the staff looks unhappy, just a really bad vibe overall. It took a while for anyone to come take our order, there wasn’t any signage about happy hour nor were we given a happy hour menu, it wasn’t until I asked about happy hour that the waitress said “oh let me grab you a menu.” It took a while for our waitress to come take our order and after we ordered some cocktails, it took a while for those to come too (not bars fault, they were sitting at the bar for a while).We were hoping to order a few drinks during the happy hour but were unable due to our waitress being tied up with the entire inside section of tables. I don’t fault her, but I do think management should staff better especially during peak times like happy hour and early dinner times. I also noticed two employees who stood by the wall near where the food gets picked up, I think they help clean tables but it just seems like maybe you should find ways that they can help your waiters and waitresses out, instead of making them do everything for each of their tables. If the manager of Garbo’s is reading this, you are really overloading your waiters and waitresses and taking away time from them checking on their tables. The customer service here is terrible and it was disappointing. You should reevaluate the way you run the restaurant, none of your staff look happy at all, maybe because of how bad the vibes are overall.Also, the men’s restroom had no TP in any of the stalls.
